Between the two institutes, FISAT is the better choice due to its longer history dating back to 1997, its stronger faculty with PhD degrees, its academic reputation with autonomous status, and its higher rankings. Moreover, it provides increasingly in-demand specializations like robotics and AI. The larger campus, strong corporate contacts for placements, and Kalady location, which may suit some students better, are some of ASIET's benefits. Although ASIET is also acknowledged and may be appealing depending on some characteristics like prices, location, and placements, FISAT is superior in terms of total engineering education quality and exposure. Before choosing between these two institutes for their engineering education, students should conduct a thorough analysis.

Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology (ASIET) and Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FIST) are contrasted side by side:Certifications: The NBA has recognised FIST's engineering programs for meeting high standards of quality. Only ASIET is ISO certified.Placements: Every year, more than 250 reputable firms come to FIST to look for students, and over 80% of them are placed. Less than 100 recruiters work with ASIET, which has a 60% placement rate.Faculty: With a concentration on research cooperation with institutions such as IISc, about 45% of the faculty at FIST are PhD candidates. Less PhDs are at ASIET.Infrastructure: FIST boasts a 50-acre campus with state-of-the-art labs, dormitories, and recreational spaces like gyms and swimming pools. The infrastructure of ASIET is adequate.Exposure: Compared to ASIET, FIST arranges more conferences and events and actively supports student publications.

Here are the specifics for applying directly, based on the Federal Institute of Science and Technology's regular admissions procedure:For BTech programs, you must have earned the minimum number of needed marks in your 10+2 or equivalent coursework in a relevant Science discipline (science for engineering programs).Entrance tests at the national level, such as JEE Main rank, determine admission. Usually, direct admission is not granted based on grades from the 12th grade. Therefore, only if you have a valid JEE Main scorecard may you enroll in BTech immediately after 12th grade. Counseling is done according to status.A BTech or BE degree with a strong percentage in a relevant specialisation is required for admission to M.Tech programs.A pass on entrance tests such as the GATE or NET may be necessary for direct admission to the M.Tech program. Some programs also allow graduates who do not have a GATE to join.Direct admission following the 12th grade is available for other programs, such as BSc or integrated MSc, and is determined by the results of the 12th grade. However, some can still demand entrance exams. In conclusion, you need to have a JEE Main rank for a BTech, a GATE certification may be needed for an MTech, and a 12th grade transcript is adequate for other fundamental Science programs. For detailed requirements, please visit the official website before applying.
