To apply for the M.Tech course at Institute of Technical Education and Research admission 2024, the candidate needs to meet the last educational qualification. Aspirants should pass BTech or equivalent in the relevant field. Obtained at least 60% marks (50% in case of candidate belongs to reserved category) in the qualifying Examination or MSc in Computer Science / IT.

The Institute of Technical Education and Research offers five M.Tech courses such as Civil Engineering, CSE, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Communication and Mechanical Engineering. The M.Tech admission procedure is mentioned below:

• All students are required to apply & appear Siksha O Anusandhan Admissions Test (SAAT) or equivalent qualifying exams.
• A separate merit list for all qualifying candidates shall be prepared based on SAAT scores.
• In addition, separate merit lists will also be drawn for candidates qualifying under each of the reservation categories. Each qualified candidate shall be given a rank card.
• The reservations shall be followed as per the reservation policy mentioned in the Reservation Policy Document.
• The online/offline counselling will be done based on the merit and preference of the aspirants. The detailed processes and schedule will be notified after the ranks are published.
• During final admission (dates to be notified after online/offline counselling) all certificates in original will be verified. For records of the Institutes, two sets of attested copies of the certificates and mark sheets etc. will be collected.
• A candidate selected through the counselling for a course is admitted and registered as a student of ITER automatically.

Candidates willing to be admitted to ITER need to apply & appear for SAAT or equivalent qualifying exams, as per the course requirement. A separate merit list for all qualified candidates will be prepared based on SAAT. A separate merit list for all qualifying candidates shall be prepared based on SAAT scores. Candidates need not have 75 percent marks in class 12 for appearing in JEE Main. As per the official brochure released by the NTA there is no minimum percentage required for appearing in the JEE Main. The requirement of 75 percent marks need not be associated with JEE Main. It is to be understood that 75 percent marks is required for admission to institutes which include NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and IITs. There are many institutes which offer admission on 60% and even less along with JEE Main. Candidates must clearly understand that the requirement of 75 percent marks in class 12 is only for taking admission in the institutes.

Institute of Technical Education and Research admission is merit based for programmes offered at UG and PG levels. In total, the institution offers 13 courses to the students across various streams, such as Engineering and Business & Management Studies, among others.

Students opting for the CSE Engineering course at Institute of Technical Education and Research must fulfill the eligibility criteria to get admission. The duration of JEE Main exam is 3 hours or 180 minutes. Candidates who fall under PwD category are given 4 hours to complete the exam as they are provided 20 minute extra for every one hour. Students who opts to appear in Paper 2A (BArch) and Paper 2B (BPlan) both will be provided 3.5 hours. 

JEE Mains exam is held in morning and evening session. The timing of morning session is 9 am to 12 noon and for evening session the timing is 3 pm to 6 pm. Each day exam is held in two session.
