The admission eligibility criteria for the B.E./B.Tech programme in Budge Institute of Technology (BBIT) states that to be a part of this eligibility, the candidate should at least have achieved 45 per cent in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) at the end of his/her 10+2 education. For reserved categories, the minimum requirement is 40 per cent. Most of the selection will be made on the basis of the WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) or through the paper-JEE Main. All admissions will require the candidate to go through the official procedures of counseling related to the above. In addition, BBIT will offer lateral entry into the second year of study for holders of a three-year Diploma course, by a competitive examination called JELET (Joint Entrance Lateral Entry Test). Convened by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada in association with APSCHE. The candidate must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination with not less than 45% marks in aggregate and individually in subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). For those under any reserved category, percentage can be reduced by 5%, i.e., 40%.The admission can be made principally to WBJEE or JEE Main marks. Candidates must fulfill the cutoff conditions of either of the exams to be qualified.
