Fresh candidates who intend to join B.E. programs have to qualify through KCET or COMEDK. As for the KCET cutoff the first year a cutoff in the ranks 25000-75000 depending on the number of seats available for each branch there are 120 seats in total. Being eligible (45% in PCM for the general category).

The real time answer of this question can only be given by analyzing the reviews and ratings of the students. Faculties of this institute are rated 4.4 out of 5 on shiksha. Most of the students have given mostly positive reviews. According to the students, the faculty members are well qualified and experienced in thier respective teaching feilds. The faculty members are cooperative and friendly. Some of the students are not happy with some of the faculy members and are asking for improvement. Many activities are conducted by the faculty members like industrial visits and others, which help in the overall skill and personality development of the students. So on an overall basis, by analyzing the reviews, we can say that the faculty members at this Institute are good and experienced. If you are planning to take admission, you are adviced to check other factors also such as placements, facilities and infrastructure.

No, you cannot take direct admission for any course at Hirasugar Institute of Technology. The admissions at this Institute are entrance based, you have to clear certain exams to secure your seat. The Institute offered two courses, B.Tech and MTech, the following are the entrance exams accepted:-B.Tech:- COMEDK UGET, KCETM.Tech:- GATE, Karnataka PGCET. These are the only way of getting admission, cut off will be released according to seats intake and score of students. If you planning to pursue any course at this Institute, you are suggested to start preparing for entrance exams.

Unlike most Polytechnic institutions, Hirasugar Institute of Technology (HSIT) does not provide 100% scholarships to all students. However, it offers scholarships and fee reimbursement to the students belonging to the SC/ST category and the economically weaker section as per GOV policy on a merit basis only. Also, students who scored well in KCET or COMEDK get a little discount on the fees they have to pay. Scholarships are offered depending on institutional and government funding and the percentage offered is dependent on the student category and performance.

According to the latest information, the KCET Last Round Closing Rank (General-All India) ranged from 91188 to 214876 for all the specializations of B.Tech. The cut off may vary for different specializations of B.Tech according to their demand. As per the general category cut off, the highest cut off was for B.Tech in computer Science and engineering. The most desired course for OBC category was also CS only with closing rank of 91188.
