Most college-level entrance exams' general knowledge section consists of static GK and CA such as awards. To prepare for the GK section in these exams, you can divide preparation into two parts:
1. Static GK Part: This consists of sections such as Science, geography, and history. It can be prepared using any reputable GK book, such as those from Arihant, Odisha Publication, or Lucent. You need to observe trends in questions and memorize important facts related to that exam, such as the XAT.
2. Current Affairs part: For this section, you need to follow a monthly CA magazine to keep track of important current events. Based on the exam's requirements, you can make notes about people in news, awards, policies, etc. Most of these exams do not ask difficult GK questions, and basic information is sufficient to score passing marks.
