The PGDM programs offered by management institutes recognized by AIU or Association of Indian Universities become equivalent to MBA. But there are some key differences between the two in terms of teaching & learning experience. Since, PGDM is a dynamic course, hence, its curriculum or syllabus keeps on changing and is usually up to date as per industry requirements and market conditions. They have more extracurricular activities and projects, and more industry exposure during the two years of study. I personally believe that if you pursue PGDM from a reputed institute like Jaipuria Institute of management or similar top b-school from NIRF ranking, you will be benefited more in terms of over all growth, placements, personality development, and corporate readiness. And lastly, yes, Jaipuria Institute is a good option to pursue PGDM.

The selection process is based on various factors Like your percentile in CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT, then your GD and PI scores, your academics, work experience and others. Minimum CAT score with which you can apply here is 50 percentile. CMAT on the other hand is lower level exam as compared to CAT, so a better percentile is expected. However, I would suggest that you should try to score good in either of the mgmt admission test. Don't think of minimum, think of what best you can do.

The level of difficulty is unpredictable as it varies. However, I'll say moderate to tough. But if you know about the distribution and percent weightage of marks in the admission process at Jaipuria Institute of Management, you may prepare more efficiently for admission. They are as follows:
1. Score in CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ GMAT 45% (maximum Weightage)
2. Case-based Group Discussion: 15%
3. Personal Interview: 20%
4. Academic Performance (previous): 15%
5. Work Experience, Sports and Extracurricular Activities: 5%. If you combine the percent scores allotted to GD and PI, it sums to 35%, and hence it becomes important to prepare for both.
92 percentile in MAT is fine but like I said, these scores contribute to 45% weightage in the selection process. If you do well in GD and PI, you may qualify for the admission. Wish you all the best.

These packages vary year to year. So, it is hard to tell. But you can ask for the current year's and previous year's data from the admissions department. In fact it is a wise to inquire, to ask questions before enrolling anywhere. After all it is your parents'/your hard earned money. But I can say that good companies like HUL, Amazon, ITC, Deloitte, etc come for placements, so, the packages are good.

Go for Jaipuria Institute of Management. It has better placement record. Centralized placements lets students from Indore campus to appear in interviews with the companies coming in Noida, Lucknow and Jaipur campus. ROI is something that depends on you rate of involvement. The more you're focused in your studies and extra-curricular activities, the better your CGPA will be, and hence, a better placement. The campus life is great. Everything sometimes seems cozy. The faculties are highly qualified and really helping. Extra-curricular activities develop your personality and you transform to a more confident and corporate ready person. You must first know the difference between the two. MBA is a degree and PGDM is a Diploma. Note: A PGDM course offered by an Institute that is affiliated o AIU (Association of Indian Universities) is considered equivalent to MBA. So, it holds equal value. Even Iims offer Post Graduate programme instead of an MBA.
2. Syllabus: MBA syllabus is designed by universities, whereas the PGDM course is designed by the Institute itself based on market changes and requirements. Hence, PGDM course syllabus is dynamic.
3. Theory vs. Practical: Generally it has been seen that an MBA course is more of a theoretical based structure and lesser focus is on practical knowledge. Whereas, in the case of PGDM, more focus is laid on practical knowledge along with theory. And as PGDM Institutes design their syllabus as per current industry standards, they are more helpful in making the candidates corporate ready.
4. Fees: Since MBA is offered by universities affiliated institutions, their fee is comparatively lesser.
5. Extra-curricular activities and training: Reputed Institutes that offer PGDM focus on various training and extra-curricular activities for the overall development of students.
6. Entrance Exams: Usually MBA admissions are done through state-level entrance exams, whereas for getting admission in PGDM institutes one has to appear in CAT MAT XAT CMAT ATMA exams. Some institutes also accept state-level CET scorecards. To conclude, I'd recommend PGDM over MBA as it focuses on overall development of students. Tip: For PGDM, you should always try for the top b-schools like Iims, XLRI, Jaipuria Institute of Management, etc.

They have centralized placements. So, the students can apply for placements at any campus. The placement record of Jaipuria Institute of Management is quite good. Every year, big companies like HUL, Amazon, ITC, Tata, to name a few, visit the campus for placements. It can't be said about any institute whether every student gets placed or not. The main reason behind it is that if someone somehow manages to get admission but couldn't pass the exams and has backlogs by the end, during placements. How can you expect any company to hire him or her. So, it totally depends on the student's performance. From the institutes end, they try their best to get each and every student placed in good companies. So, there is no doubt about the institute. Their reputation in the industry attracts companies like amazon and Deloitte. The minimum package varies.
