The number of applicants for M.Sc in Finance varies each year. There are total 30 seats that are to be admitted and the process consists of an entrance test followed by a GDPI process. Candidates are admitted on the basis of the cumulative scores of the test as well as the GDPI round. The entrance test is of moderate difficulty level MHCET but presence of mind is very important as the time is very limited and should be resourcefully used. All courses are open for both men and women in this institute. In part-time MBA course, candidate's doesn't get benefits of placements as they are working professionals.

If you are looking for HR than NMIMS is better option than JBIMS. JBIMS is much known for finance.

Unfortunately, the above mentioned colleges no longer accept MAT scores. MAH-CET CMAT and CAT are the only entrance exams scores accepted for a MS course at these institutes.

I have scored 90.35 percentile in CET. Which colleges can I get for PGDM / MMS in Mumbai or Pune?

Hi Krisha,
It is hard to get good college for MS at this score. However, you can try for PGDM in Chetana' s/ Sides. You will get through if you perform well in GDPI. All the best.

Yes. There is a difference between JBIMS and Sydenham. But we need to understand it from different viewpoints. When it comes to admitting students, at least for this year, the process is the same. Someone with a 99.9+ will get JBIMS and someone with a 99.8 will end up with Sydenham. Difference between 99.8 and 99.9 in terms of ability and aptitude is negligible. One person got a few more questions correct on that particular day. That's it. So if you look at the top students of JBIMS and top students of Sydenham, the difference is barely perceptible. JBIMS has been in the top ranking for a long time and will continue to do so. I don't really see Sydenham taking that position. If JBIMS moves out of CET centralized process, then yes, Sydenham will be the top institute purely through CET. There is a difference in the environment. There is something about JBIMS that makes it stand out from all other MS offering institutes and I think it is the kind of work alumni have done in the industry and the fact that some of the professors teach only at JBIMS. They will not go to other places. Yes, there are a few who teach at both JBIMS and Sydenham. May be, because of this reason, every year, you will find at least 4-5 students of SIMSREE taking CET again and trying for JBIMS.
