Should you opt for a South Campus Girls college in Delhi University (Jesus and Mary College Review)
Placements: 75% of the students get placed as per the official report; however, honestly, several students drop out of the placement season earlier too. The highest is 14 LPA, the lowest is 3.5 LPA, and the average is 5 LPA. Students rarely get internship opportunities. Analyst, Auditing, HR, and Marketing.
Infrastructure: JMC has decent facilities, I think. It has office Wi-Fi, AC labs, and a library too. The classrooms don't have AC, but they are fine as per government college standards. They're spacious. JMC doesn't have a hostel; I personally find the mess mediocre only. We do have a big sports ground with good facilities.
Faculty: Honestly, I find the teaching quality of the faculty good as compared to the other DU colleges. Regular classes are held, and lectures aren't cancelled often like in other colleges. I think the curriculum of DU in general is outdated. It doesn't impart practical knowledge; rather, it's focused on theoretical one. I find them of medium difficulty. Passing percentage varies from subject to subject. Above 50% is decent.
Other: I chose the B.Com programme. One annual fest is also conducted, but it's not very big. Societies and extracurricular are present.

My personal experience at JMC.
Placements: The placement opportunities in our college are very good. 80% of the students get placements from our college and the average package offered is around 500000-600000. An average student can also expect a nice placement from this college. I have done 3 internships which I got from the college itself in my 2nd year.
Infrastructure: Our college has one of the best infrastructures in the entire Delhi University. There is a very spacious library along with nice labs. Also, we have a nice and affordable canteen and clean washrooms, as it's a girls college, they have many washrooms for girls on every floor of the college.
Faculty: We have very understanding and helpful teachers who are a valuable assets of the college and our department. They make our semesters easy. They teach us so well that the concepts become clear easily and they also clear our doubts whenever needed.
Other: JMC has a top notch crowd. This college is the best girls college in every aspect.

A piece of my college youth.
Placements: Actually, I am an NCWEB student, so they don't provide placements for us. Although NCWEB is technically a regular program, students only need to come on Saturdays or Sundays due to pursuing other courses. We are called regularly for practicals, viva, and classes, so it's not like an open college. The lack of placement opportunities is expected because many students are involved in other professional courses and choose NCWEB.
Infrastructure: In terms of facilities and infrastructure, JMC is good for regular students but not for NCWEB students. They provide two large libraries for regular students, but for us, it's like a small store room that's not inviting. Our infrastructure, including our I-cards, seems very cheap. Compared to other colleges like Hansraj, which provide digital I-cards and libraries for NCWEB students, we feel neglected despite paying the same fees. When we approached the TIC, they were unhelpful and even shouted at us.
Faculty: Some teachers genuinely care about students and want them to succeed, while others are less invested and just go through the motions. The exams are tough, and although some students do well, there's a perception that not much is done about it.
Other: I chose this course just to complete my graduation because I need it for a foreign language course. My main concern is that the college does not offer fair treatment; regular students receive many more facilities and benefits, whereas we get very little. Festivals and events are managed by regular students, and while we are allowed to attend, we are not involved in activities or given scholarships.

Our college has good infrastructure.
Placements: Our college provides good placements. They offer summer internships. Some courses like tailoring, digital marketing, etc. They offer some language courses. It is one of the top colleges in Delhi.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Our college provides us with all facilities. Everything is good in our college. A playground is available in our college. Our garden is good. There are no mirrors in the washrooms. Washrooms are not much clean. They don't provide cold water.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and friendly. The course curriculum is good. It includes cost accounting and corporate accounting, which help students to grow in accounts. Exams are not much hard. They can be easily passed.

JMC is the best among all.
Placements: 60-90% students get placed. About 10-20 students get internships. Top roles offered are in sales, accounts, etc. Placements are good in this college.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are very huge and comfortable as well. The canteen’s food is very tempting. There are sports competitions held. Also, there is a medical room for injured or ill people. All the facilities are best in JMC. I would gave it a rating of 4.5.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and they are the true gems for students. They are well qualified and knowledgeable in their own way. The curriculum is so relevant and students follow the same. There's no difficulty in the passing exams. Pass percentage is 4.0.
Other: I chose this course because I am a non-collegiate student.

Students also asked

Q:   Does Jesus and Mary College accept CUET score?

A:

As of my last update in January 2022, Jesus and Mary College (JMC) in New Delhi, India, is affiliated with the University of Delhi. At that time, the University of Delhi primarily admitted students based on merit lists derived from board examination scores (such as CBSE or other relevant boards), rather than through entrance exams like the CUET (Common University Entrance Test).

However, educational policies and admission procedures can change over time, so I would recommend checking the official website of Jesus and Mary College or the University of Delhi for the most up-to-date information regarding their admission process and acceptance of the CUET score.
