I am satisfied with this branch, and it offered a good salary package.

Placements: In our college, almost 70% of students are placed in CS and IS courses. About 50% of students are placed in the EC branch. All other branches do not provide good placements. The salary package offered is good. You join courses, like CS, IS, and EC at this college. It will be worth your money.

Decent College, good location but very poor placements.

Placements: TCS gives placement to 3-4 students. That's it. The highest package someone got was from Societe General. Rs 4.3 LPA is the average CTC offered.

Overall, it has a past reputation, average placements and a degree with decent academics.

Placements: TCS is the major company which visits our campus regularly for placements. Tech Mahindra, Evive and Global Edge were some notable recruiters here. It is easy to crack the interview if you have above 60% of marks throughout your course and good aptitude skills and decent technical knowledge. If you have good coding knowledge and communication skills, you can sometimes get a better salary package and better roles. If you do not get placed, there is AMCAT.

I am satisfied with infrastructure, but faculty members are not well-knowledgeable.

Placements: An average of 40% of the students is placed every year. The highest salary package offered until now is 5.5 LPA. Companies like Infosys, Tech Mahindra, TCS and Crimson Logic are some of the top recruiting companies. Almost 80% of the students got an internship, and most of the internships were from MESCOM.

Good facilities and faculty, but not worth the money we paid.

Placements: The placements are average, not too good or not too bad. At least, four to five companies visit for the mechanical branch students, and other four to five companies select the students of other branch students. There is a placement cell in our college, and it is good. The list of companies visited our college are TCS, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Infocus, etc. The maximum salary offered is 8.5 LPA, and the minimum is 2.5 LPA. Our present principal is an industrialist, so he is having good contacts with...

Not satisfied with the standard of education given and lack of adoption of modern educational method

Placements: The placements in the college are poor, and the major recruiter is TCS. It is the only company to recruit more than 100 students. In the college, 10-15% of the students get placed that too only from circuit branches, and the placements for the other branches is almost zero. The highest packages offered was of 6.6 lakhs per annum, and the smallest package offered was 1.5 lakhs per annum. The major companies that visit the college are TCS, Tech Mahindra, Device health, Societe Generale, Ethnus, Ji...

Choose JNNCE only if you are not interested in leaving Shimoga.

Placements: The placements for our batch are less when compared to our seniors batch. Only the students with 60%+ got placed right now. The highest package is offered by Societe General of around 4.2 lpa. Next to it is the mass recruiter, TCS offered 3.36 lpa. But in the previous year, a company called Evive took nearly 10 members around 6.5 lpa. I don't know they lost interest in getting students this year. There is a placement cell. It is not that much useful, everyone gets there only when PO asked them t...

Mechanical department is good, but the campus drive is not there, but you can get it outside also.

Placements: No placements for civil and mechanical department students. Only for CS, this college is the best. The mechanical department is very good here, but no campus drive, as usual, software companies came and hired some of the mechanical students. I don't know what will they do with them. The campus drive is very poor for mechanical students.

It is a good college but it needs some improvements.

Placements: The placements are not great here, and only some of the companies like TCS will offer a package of Rs. 4 lakhs per annum. But in the last year, 4 students were selected for BEL which offered Rs. 8 lakhs per annum government jobs. The placement is the only issue faced by the students, and this year I think more companies might come hoping for the best.

Quite good but placement wise, the college is not good compared to other colleges.

Placements: The placements are just okay but there are no placements for the civil branch. TCS is the main company that takes many students. But some big companies like BHEL and Dell come for placements but rarely. It has good placements for IT, computer science engineering, and information science engineering branches. Mechanical engineering branch has very good companies like Tech Mahindra and others but for civil, no placements are available.

Good for education and situated outside the city so that there is a peaceful environment.

Placements: Placements EC and CS branches are good but for core branches, they are pathetic and zero as far as I know. But for telecom and other software-oriented branches, there are good placement opportunities and companies like TCS and Tech Mahindra are regularly visiting for placements. I would like to say that more scope should be given to the core branches by inviting companies like Triveni Turbines, Bosch, etc.

Fees is less as compared to other engineering colleges. A different kind of crowd and climate. Hostel facilities are good and faculties are average. One can easily enjoy 4 years of stay in this remote city which is having scenery and as different environment.

I have mixed reviews for this college. Even though the campus facilities and exposure which it provides through its events is good and the Placements are poor. The Fee structure at my time of joining was very high. The faculty members are not up to the mark and even the college crowd is not great.

Avoid this college. Hostel is cheap but food is not good. College only prefer tcs for placement, after that there are very few companies who visit this college. Management is poor. Placement officer is worst. Few faculties are good and experienced but most of other are new comers.

Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering is a college with most friendly faculty. The transportation facility, campus, location is all perfect. All the 6 branches are awesome. But the scope for an individual development is very less as many people here are narrow minded and will not tolerate other’s development. Placements are also very poor when compared to other colleges. It’s because of the location where the college is situated. To describe JNNCE in one word is : Average! P.S : If y...

College is good according to faculty and placement is poor. Placement manager is the waste person. Never bring the good companies to college. Campus and all the department are nice. You have huge campus and good sports facilities. Computer Science and Mechanical department is the most happening department in whole college.

My college has good hospitality skills compared to the other colleges, but they treat the students like school children. It gives a good lesson on how to survive a life which may be full of sorrows or problems... The faculty are all good friends. This is an important thing for us to study in that college. However, the college does not have a good campus, which is a big drawback.

It is an average college. You can also get direct admission to our college.

Placements: Placements in our college were good for students who have at least 65% in academics and basic knowledge of programming skills and good communication skills of verbal and written. Around 4 to 5 companies like TCS, Dell, Tech Mahindra, Spain Infotech, Indian Army, etc. visit our college for placements. The THA company has the first preference for recruitment in our college because it recruits many students.
