A:
{Source: B.A. students & alumni}

Here's a summary of the key points:

Faculty
* Faculty is average, with old teachers being highly educated and knowledgeable
* Professors are friendly and communicate well with students
* Some teachers may not be helpful during examinations

Infrastructure and Facilities
* Infrastructure is average, with large classrooms but limited amenities
* No Wi-Fi connection in classrooms
* Limited library resources and lack of availability of certain books
* Canteen food is poor quality

Placements
* Placements exist, with over 60% of students securing jobs in good companies
* However, the placement cell could improve
* Students may receive reference letters instead of direct placement offers
* Few opportunities for internships, although almost all students secured internships at media houses

Course Relevance
* Course relevance varies depending on individual interests and career goals
* Communicative English Major is considered relevant, preparing students for job markets
* Other courses may not offer similar guarantees

Campus Life
* Campus life is generally pleasant, with a focus on academic pursuits
* Limited extracurricular activities and events
* Hostel facilities are available for Master's degree students

Based on these points, whether B.A. at Jogamaya Devi College is a good choice depends on individual priorities and expectations. I would suggest all to go to this college. Perfect and safe college for girls.
Placements: Thera are placements in jogamaya devi college. And we all get placements In many good companies. Many people are worried that there are no placements in jogamaya devi college. But it is wrong. More than 60% students get placements in good companies.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure is average. In our classroom we don't have Wi-Fi connection. There are very small library and most of other books are not available in our college library. In your college canteen is good but the canteen food is terrible.
Faculty: I can say that faculty is average. Old teachers are very highly educated. And they have lots of knowledge and good communications. And specially well behavied with students. The colleges environment is good and peaceful. All the professors are so frank and very friendly.

Very bad college in the world.
Placements: In that college there is any type of placement cell is available. And college many courses are but are there any job is not available. The college has only political background. And no job is provided by the college so it has very bad placement cells is available.
Infrastructure: The college has very poor infrastructure. There is no Wi-Fi is available in the college so it is fake. No libraries are available in the college so it is a fake thing to say that has a library. In the college only one canteen is available and it has very poor food is present.
Faculty: No teacher is helpful for the examination. And college teachers are very rude. When u asked some questions to the teacher then he say that please on tuition center. There are no types of internal exams that should be done and the passing percentage is 40%.

A good place to choose to pursue a graduation degree alongside a job!
Placements: We were the last batch of the COVID pandemic. I have mostly given exams online in the first half, though in the second half, after the pandemic, the classes were held offline. There were around 40 students in my batch. The internship opportunities are very scanty—hardly any, to be precise. This is a morning course, so it is suitable for candidates who plan to pursue a job alongside their studies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is, like any other government unit, not very well maintained. The classrooms are very basic—not smart classrooms with TVs and projectors, but good enough to sit and take classes. The library has sufficient books, which can be borrowed from time to time. There are multiple PGs and hostels available at quite a reasonable price. The canteen is average, but there are multiple food corners around. There is hardly any engagement with sports or extracurriculars.
Faculty: The professors are quite adequate and helpful. Everything will not be spoon-fed, but they will do their best in their capacity. Theoretical education and the practical side of work are very important. As mentioned earlier, this college is not a placement master, but the early timing of the classes will allow you to participate in a job side by side.

It has really good infrastructures and the staff is very much supportive.
Placements: Our college doesn't provide any kind of placements. It is a government college and only provides graduate degree. It doesn't offer any packages in our course. No company come for recruitment. No one got an internship from our course. No roles offered.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructures were good. The classrooms were big. We used to have two libraries one was the college library and another was departmental library; both the libraries were very good. It provide a good amount of informative books. Overall it has good facilities for students.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers were very helpful, qualified and obviously had a great knowledge of the subject. They put their best efforts in teaching us. Yes, definitely the course that we studied was relevant. It provide us ample of knowledge and information about the subject.
Other: I have a great interest in my course and the best thing about history is you can know the story of the past, you can get the chance to know about the beautiful historical palace and get the knowledge about its architecture, its importance and many more thing. And I love my course. Our college wasn't much active with extracurricular activities.

Three years weren't magical, but the memories will forever be cherished.
Placements: There were about 44 students in our class, which is the Communicative English Major. There's no such thing as placement in JDC. For an internship, they provided us with a reference letter. Almost all the students in our batch got an internship at media houses. Newer courses are offered to students, and better chances for placement are opening up.
Infrastructure: The classes are pretty decent sized. I feel that the college takes more admissions than it can provide services to that is why the classes were always overcrowded. The college staff, both teaching and non-teaching, are good, though the non-teaching staff can be a little more polite and cooperative with the students. The college didn't have any Wi-Fi facility and neither well-running canteen.
Faculty: The teaching staff was good and efficient. There were a few unpleasant incidents where the teacher's efficiency was in question, but in the end, we persevered. The teachers are all from the respective subject's background and know the subject thoroughly. In this day, this course is very much relevant as it is not a regular honours course but a practical course which prepares a candidate for the job market.
Other: I chose Communicative English Major because I wanted to explore and learn more about the English language and journalism. This course is a combination of both. There isn't a particular event just for this department as it's relatively new and not many people know about it. Extracurricular activities include inter-college competitions and annual sports.

The infrastructure and facilities are good.
Placements: As Jogamaya Devi College is a general degree college, no such placements are provided frequently. But, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) often visits the college to recruit the final year students and also pass outs. Many students got placed with considerable salary packages.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Classrooms are huge. Labs are well-equipped. The college encourages students who have good sports base, by organising various inter-college sports competitions. Quality of food provided in the canteen is not much good compared to the others. Jogamaya Devi College also provides hostel facilities for the students of master degree courses. Rooms are good and big enough to accommodate students comfortably. During my tenure at the college, I didn't face any issues regarding the infrastructure.
Faculty: I must say that the faculty members in every department are very well trained and professional. Teachers are well versed in their respective subjects in both spoken and written forms of Bengali and English. But for the science departments, teachers for assisting students in labs are very less compared to the number of teachers for theoretical classes. They do not assist the students properly due to which students face huge difficulties to cope up with their practical syllabus before exams, every year.
Other: Events and fests are not much impressive. They are very boring. The campus is not huge. Chances of getting scholarships are very high for deserving and needy students. The college keeps organising cultural programmes.
