It depends on category and you should be in top 20 percentile of your category in board exam. It differs every year .

Yes it is worth. JSS have decent faculty and labs. Competitive crowd, most of the faculty have Ph.D or pursuing Ph.D. placement is not that good for mechanical here, mechies go for GATE exam and other government sector jobs.

There is no chance to get CS in JSS at this rank for an OBC candidate. You need 6000-7000 rank general to get CS in JSS Noida as OBC candidate.
