Just know that the average package stated is quite accurate. You should be able to go by this figure and expect a package somewhere around it.

Your chances are very slim, even after waitlist movement. However, I suggest you attend counseling and get yourself wautlisted for FS.

You can choose to get wait listed for RM and Communications. But chances through counselling are slim for any course.

It depends on what you call better placement. The average package this was Rs. 9.4 lakhs with more than 95% of the batch placed. The highest package was 21 lakhs. We have huge brands in sectors like IT, FMCG, BFSI etc. coming in every year. De

If you want to do marketing, then RM will be better for you. If you intend to take up finance, then FS is better. It ultimately depends on which specialization you intend to go for.

FS is oriented towards the fast growing services sector in india. As part of the course, you'll be able to sit for all finance profiles which come in the college. RM is oriented towards the management of retail channels, which is one of the fastest growing fields in marketing. You will be allowed to appear for all marketing profiles, and may even have an edge when huge retail brands come for placements.

I would say simsr is definitely better than liba and at least at par with tapmi. The one advantage SIMSR has over Tapmi is location, in my opinion. Being in Mumbai not only puts you in the financial and business capital of the country but also gives you access to a multitude of resources like Heads of industry who routinely interact with students via guest lectures, lectures by special faculties specialising in some field of knowledge, competitions held by other business schools etc. You can take admission to Tapmi and then depending on the SIMSR results, you could decide whether to join tapmi or SIMSR. Most colleges will refund the amount paid if admission is cancelled.

The ranks declared are final. They are a cumulation of multiple factors which were all scored independently by different people, in order to minimise bias or ambiguity.

You might have a chance of getting Communications. If you're interested in marketing, I suggest you get yourself waitlisted for it (if you don't get it through counselling). The ranks closed around 2800 last year.

If you want marketing, we have Communications. However, whether you will get the course or not will become clear only after the counselling process. At your rank, choice will be limited, unfortunately.
