Admission into KCNIT is relatively moderate in terms of competition due to factors like an applicant's previous academic records and the available number of seats. For the B.E. / B.Tech courses, students are given admission through the scores secured in UPCET examination. Moreover, the students are required to secure a minimum 45% percentage score in 10+2, having Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. The difficulty level is based on the rank of the applicant in UPCET and the branch of engineering selected. The students with a higher rank in UPCET are more likely to get admission, while others have to participate in the counseling process.
