If you simply doing engineering and lifetime job after it without pursuing higher studies like MBA or M.Tech, it won't be beneficial for anyone to show talent, earnings and to get platform better than where someone stands today. Unless you are very desperate and cannot wait for another year, but if you can take CAT again next year, do the same. The colleges that you can expect the admission call will have an average package of 4-5 LPA. Even the roles for which firms will recruit you is going to be very average.

The average salary of KIAMS is Rs 5.35 lakhs per annum as mentioned on the website.It's the placement of this current year in which till now the highest package is Rs 8 lakhs but most of the companies are coming with a package of Rs 5-5.5 lakhs per annum.

KIAMS has finance as an option for PGDM, but marketing is more prevalent in KIAMS.
Companies generally come for marketing profile though finance companies do come.
But you can go on for better college as your score and experience is good.
Another option which you can go for is to try and give 1-2 other exams which will open door to even better colleges and it will be in best interest as per your profile.
