Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) - Batch of 2025

Our college provides good faculty members but bad infrastructure at low fees.
Placements: Students have to find jobs on their own because less students get placed in our college. The lowest salary package offered is 1.2 LPA and the highest salary package is 2 LPA. Few companies visit our college to recruit students. All the students have to do internships in their 3-year course in any company. Top role offered is a manager.
Infrastructure: Classrooms don't have proper tables and chairs to sit in and have whiteboards. Wi-Fi is available in the computer lab but there are only 10 computers of which 3 or 4 are broken or not working. Library is good. Hostel don't have a mess.
Faculty: All the teachers in our college are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. HOD has good knowledge and is friendly. Extracurricular activities are held in our college to help students. Exams are divided into a 30 marks exam, 20 marks for assignments and co-curricular activities, and a 50-mark exam which is difficult.

A short review about Laxman Singh Mahar Post Graduate College.
Placements: I do not know the exact percentage of students who were placed in this course but I can surely say that the percentage will be very low. There are no recruiting companies in this college whether it is top-level or low-level companies. The placement status of this course is not so good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the commerce department is very big and very good. Cleanliness and hygiene are maintained in this department. There are no Wi-Fi facilities in the college. The library is huge and good but sometimes, they hand over old books that are not relevant.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are quite helpful, very well qualified, and very knowledgeable. I don't think that it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not so difficult but semester exams are lengthy. I don't know the pass percentage but it is definitely quite good.

Soban Singh Jeena: Worth It or Not?
Placements: The eligibility criteria for placement require good grades each semester. No recruiters visited when I studied over the last three years. The highest and average package, as per the companies and profiles offered, is none. No companies visit the campus. If your plan after getting the degree is to find a placement, do not come here. There is no internship or placement plan on campus, so if you are looking for placements or internships, do not take admission at this college. If you only want a degree at a low cost, then you can consider admission.
Infrastructure: The lab is good, but there is no Wi-Fi here. The library has books, but you need to pay a 1000 INR security deposit. Amenities in classrooms are decent but average; there are no fans, no AC, and no projectors. Food quality in town is good; pahadi food is top class, but I don't know about the hostel food system or quality. For local accommodation, there are one or two PG options for girls and one hostel by the campus. Local rented options are also good, with a 2-3k INR range for a decent 1 BHK room.
Faculty: The teachers are not very good; they do not take regular classes, and the teaching quality is average. They focus only on theoretical aspects. There are two exams a year, and the difficulty level is not too high. If you solve and practice the last 3-4 years' previous question papers, you can easily get good marks.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted an undergraduate degree for my upcoming future exams. The course is good, and you learn various things. However, the infrastructure, placement, internship system, and teaching methods need improvement. There are no fests on campus, only a fresher's party after a month when the new batch arrives and a senior's farewell ceremony. Scholarships are also provided by the government.

The money you pay as the fees is going at right place.
Placements: Our college has the second-highest population of students in the entire state of Uttarakhand. The highest package from our college is 12lakh rupees per annum. Many students from our college has got placement in different companies from India and maximum students get the chance to sit in placement.
Infrastructure: Our college has the great faculty of teachers including with quality classroom, a huge library for students. The food serving quality is good as per the fees that we pay and the sports activities are top class. The sports player also play for state level and national level.
Faculty: The teacher are highly qualified with professional degree and they are with several years of teaching experience. The attendance of every student is quite marvelous. The difficulty level of semester exam is normal for every individual who study and pass the exam.
Other: Great place for value of money.

Teaching facilities are good.
Placements: Placement was not quite good there. I didn't see any company coming there to recruit students. Internship is not available for the students in this college. College is located at a beautiful place. This is a government college comes under Kumaun University.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and other infrastructure are good in this college. Labs and Library are also maintained. Sports and games facility are good over here. Quality of the food is also good. Medical facilities are not introduced in this college apart from first aids.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Teachers always ready to help students. Teaching quality in this college is good. Course curriculum is relevant and as per the industrial demand. It also helps to makes students efficient and industry ready.

B.Sc. in Mathematics - Batch of 2020
3.6
1Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
It has a good infrastructure but no facilities and placements.
Placements: None of the students were placed from our college in our course because no recruiting companies ever visited the campus. So there was the highest and the lowest package. But sometimes, our professors gave us information about the companies that were looking for B.Sc. freshers but those companies were always outside Pithoragarh.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi was available on the campus but it was only for the teachers and other department officials. No students were given access to it. The labs were quite big where experiments can be performed comfortably but the equipment of the lab was not in good conditions so they too wanted a replacement but the equipment which was working work in a great way resulting in the outcome of the experiment being accurate. The classrooms were quite big but the furniture was very less, often the students don't come to college regularly but if all the students come to the college, surely the class space and the furniture would be less. Talking about the hostel, you get it at a very cheap rate, I think it is the cheapest of all hostels in India charging only about 1000-2000 per year. But the hostel does not have a mess, all the students have to prepare the food by themselves for them in the empty room given to them which are used by them as a kitchen. The food at the canteen is okay, and it was not so healthy and tasty and they hardly prepare 4-5 items, so any person hardly eats there. The medical facilities on the campus were good as at a very little distance a hospital was located, so in case of any injury or emergency, the person was taken straight to the hospital. Nearly every sport and the game was supported on the campus, and if you play well, you will be selected in the college team where you get a chance to play for the college and represent it in university competitions. You get free tracksuits with college name printed and also you are awarded some extra marks in academics.
Faculty: Teachers were highly knowledgeable and qualified and nearly every teacher had completed a doctorate. They were always ready to help you whenever you ask for it. The teaching quality was fine and they hardly take classes, so people have to manage study by going to tuition or by self-study. This course was relevant and it was extremely good for the students who want to become teacher or professor and want to go for B.Ed and NET exams. This course was also good if you just want a graduation degree so that you can go for government exam but I would rather advise you to go for B. A as it will help you more in government exam and it is also an easy course in comparison to B.Sc.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to become a professor. The best thing about the course is that it is not so tough, you can even easily clear it if you hardly study 2-3 hours a week but you have to work hard for mathematics as that's not so easy. I wish the campus placement would be starting, the students would be given access to Wi-Fi, the equipment of the lab would be replaced, the furniture would be increased in classes, and at last, the classes would be made compulsory so that the connection between the teacher and student starts to form so that the students wouldn't be hesitating to ask something to teachers. As there were no events or fests except for freshers and farewell and some more events such as Maths Day, Science Day, etc. Social wish the events would be increasing. The connectivity of the campus was good, and students had no problem in their daily life with it. Students can easily get to market and buy necessary things. The campus was situated at GIC road which was not a noisy place. The campus was surrounded by trees, a garden, and a park where people get fresh air and forget their problems. The students who perform well in academics were given scholarships according to government policy and also from time to time extracurricular activities were introduced in the college so that the students don't get bored and they enjoy this part of life.
