B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2028

MIT - an autonomous institute of technology.
Placements: There are no good placements here. They offer placement, but it is not that great. They offer placement with a really low package, and the placements are not that great for all students.
Infrastructure: The institute has a large campus with a five-story building and a large playground. There is no Wi-Fi for students, but staff have Wi-Fi access. There are four chemistry labs and four computer labs. The library is open 24 hours a day.
Faculty: The teachers at this college are well qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is very good, and they explain concepts in a way that makes them easy for students to understand. The semester exams are challenging but not overly difficult. The passing percentage is 40%.
Other: I chose to study computer engineering because I wanted to have a career in the IT sector. I chose this institute because it is an autonomous institute, which means that it has a high degree of independence and self-government.

It is a nice college, I got very good company of friends, need to improve the administration system.
Placements: My course is new in my college, so only two batches are running. The first one will pass out in 2026, and ours will be in 2027. Now I'm in the 2nd year, and subjects like this and CGA are included with Mathematics, some portions from Computer Science, and some from Computer Graphics and related to Animation.
Infrastructure: Labs are good, libraries and other facilities are available, workshops dedicated to Automobile are also available, and for refreshment, canteens and cafeterias are there. But teaching needs to be improved a little bit. I'm not from the hostel, so I don’t know about it.
Faculty: As I said, teaching needs to be improved. Otherwise, all is okay. Semester exams are not that simple nor that hard, they have a moderate level. Curriculum needs more practical knowledge to make it industry-ready. Teachers are qualified. Some teachers are very helpful and have nice behavior towards students, but some are too rough to talk to.

Good faculty; average placement and poor infrastructure.
Placements: Placements are average at my college. Placements in the CSE department are for about 40% of students in computer science engineering. Internship opportunities are also available at average colleges, which provide an in-plant training program for 3rd and final-year students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is below average. The campus doesn't provide pleasant and encouraging vibes. One good thing about college infrastructure is that it has a big central library for all the students. Hostels are also below average. Wi-Fi services are also average.
Faculty: The faculty of our college is very good. All the faculty are highly qualified and very cooperative with the students in terms of both studies as well as other personal or educational activities. Teachers are very skilled.
Other: As a student at this college, the course of computer science engineering focuses on theoretical aspects and is very poor in practical knowledge. Events such as Kalavihangam are conducted every year for the students.

B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2026

4Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life2Value for Money
Good College for low percentile student.
Placements: The placement at MIT is overall average. You get opportunities for placement, but the package is not assured; mostly, students get low packages from campus interviews. Students mostly get packages of nearly 3-6 lacs. High-package opportunities are fewer. Overall, I give it 6/10 marks as a review from my point of view, based on the electrical engineering department placement.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is above average because the hostel facilities are very good for girls. But on the other hand, boys do not get good service, especially in the mess. Food quality is very poor compared to the hostel fee. It's not affordable. No gym is provided. In the girls' hostel, the mess facility is average, and the hostel is very good, specifically, Tara Hostel is awesome. But it is costly, as are its facilities.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good in all departments. But in the electrical engineering department, the faculty is not good compared to other departments because I faced many problems during my academics regarding internal marks. Internal marks are not provided fairly in the electrical department. So make sure you study well, because it is not easy to score on internal assessments.

Really good about everything except the hostel mess.
Placements: There are nearly 120 students who took admission in AI and this course. The highest package got for my course is 18 Lacs at Capgemini as a data engineer, and many companies like Amazon, Infosys, Capgemini, TCS, Flipkart, IBM, Fuji Infrastructure Technologies. Approximately 80 percent of students got internships at Amazon, Capgemini, and many others, as I have seen. Roles offered for my course are Python Developer, Data Analyst, Database Manager, AI Developer, and Machine Learner.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are digital and also comfortable, and Wi-Fi is also good, but sometimes it didn't work. Labs are good enough to work in, but not comfortable. The library is so good, everything about research books and some other things needed for students are all available in it. Hostels are good for living but not so good for the food. The college has its own ground or stadium, so it's easy to play sports, and also has a canteen which is also good. The only issue is that the mess is not good for the hostel.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are qualified and so good at teaching, and are knowledgeable. They teach very well so that every student can understand. Yes, they take many activities that are needed for students to be ready for industries. It depends on the students, but talking about mine, the papers are average, and as I have seen, 80 percent of students can pass as they have taken this course.
Other: There is so much demand for AI in the future. The college takes events like Bollywood Day, Dance Fest, Freshers Party, and also takes extracurricular activities like sports and competitions like drawing or so many. Scholarships are also available if admission is from the cap round.

If there is no choice, then it is a better college for students .
Placements: 70% of students are placed. The highest package is 8 to 9 lacs, and the lowest is 3 to 4 lacs. Jio, Amazon, Godrej, etc. are the top recruiters. 70% of students get internships from the course. We are taught about the basics of electronics, mathematics, Chemistry communication skills, engineering exploration, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, wi-fi is not there, and classrooms are clean; sensors are also present in classrooms; the library is also clean; and there is no filtered water. In hostels, the water is not good. There is no importance given to sports and games .
Faculty: All staff give us deep knowledge about courses and subjects and provide materials. At the third year, industry visits begin. Moderate types of semester exams are there; in such cases, some courses or subject papers are difficult to qualify for or pass but there is also a repeat exam available.

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.
