Medical Laboratory Technology programs under the general category are eligible for a 20 % course fee waiver as scholarships. However, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria required at the time of admission. The domicile candidates from Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Jharkhand, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim, are eligible for an additional fee waiver of 15 % as scholarships i.e.; total fee waiver of 35 % as scholarship for the 1st year, only on the production of respective valid domicile certificate.

For BOPTM course admission, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by the institute. Aspiarnts should pass Class 12 from any recognised state/national board with a minimum 50% aggregate. The admission criteria for the course are entrance-based. Candidates are advised to check the official MET eligibility criteria before registration. If the candidates are not able to meet the eligibility criteria, then they will be disqualified from the MET admission process. As per the official criteria, the candidates should have passed Class 12 or equivalent qualifying examination from a recognised board with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/any technical vocational subject as an optional subject. A minimum of 50% aggregate marks should have been secured by the candidates. There is no age limit.
