College with freedom but less studies.
Placements: Almost all students get placements but they get job related to hardware jobs while they studying software. There are not much famous recruiting companies and all of them provide hardware jobs. No internships are provide by the college. The students are required to find it on there own.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college to compact. The college provides internet lab which can accommodate around 40 students. There are lab facilities provided for every department. The hostel rooms are neat. But the food is not too much good and also every year students get food poisoning the semister exams are not too easy.
Faculty: The staffs here is friendly and easily approachable we can talk anything we want to them the curriculum offers compulsory Internship add on courses etc. Which can develop our practice knowledge but we want to pay for every extra added facilities. Semister exams not easy.
Other: My parents are compelled me to take this course because in their mind Engineering is a value course we need to take extra course to develop our practice knowledge apart from our theoretical studies. Our college doesn't provide any kind of scholarship and extracurricular activities .

The perfect choice in life, aka "Marthandam College of Engineering and Technology."
Placements: The college provides placement opportunities with reputed companies, with about 80% of students getting placed each year. The highest salary package is up to 25,000, the average package is around 18,000, and the lowest is about 15,000. Top companies like Tata, Mahindra, and Mitsuba offer placements. The college also provides better internship opportunities, conducting one-day or several-day internships for Computer Science and Information Technology students. Those interested in internships need to inform faculty members, who will assist in joining the programs.
Infrastructure: The college classrooms are wide, neat, and clean, utilizing smart facilities for teaching. They provide good lecture notes in both hard and soft copy. The lab facilities are well-maintained, with new equipment in good condition. The college has a large library with over a thousand books, including textbooks, journals, storybooks, lecture notes, previous year questions, and project reports. Accommodation is available for both men and women in the hostel, which is satisfactory, allowing three students per room. Rooms are well-furnished with chairs, tables, and cupboards. The hostel mess provides hygienic and healthy food, offering different meals daily, including both non-vegetarian and vegetarian options. The college canteen is spacious and offers a variety of food items and drinks. Medical facilities are available on campus, with a medical officer for casual cases. The college has good sports and athletics programs; students wishing to participate need to inform the physical director for training and guidance.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified, with most holding doctorate degrees and many being alumni of the college. They must have a master’s degree or an equivalent qualification. Faculty members are knowledgeable and approachable, allowing students to ask any doubts freely. The teaching quality is excellent, utilizing smart systems like projectors for better understanding. The course curriculum is highly relevant, helping students prepare for their industry careers. Students must complete an internship at the end of each year to understand industrial processes, aiding their future endeavors. Semester exams are not difficult, with about 90% of students passing each semester. Due to effective teaching methods and the availability of notes, passing semester exams is manageable.
Other: I didn't attend any entrance exams, so I chose a self-financed college. Compared to others, this college offers reservation benefits and various scholarship programs. The peaceful, green environment and disciplined structure attracted me to join. One of the best aspects of this course is the wide variety of job opportunities available after graduation. I hope to enhance student interaction and conduct extra classes to improve skills. The college organizes events and festivals every semester, celebrating seasonal programs like Onam, Christmas, and Diwali, as well as college events such as Engineers Day and Teachers' Day to enhance students' skills.

I am dissatisfied with rules.
Placements: Placements are not that effective because we get hardware jobs instead of software-related jobs. All students do internships, but we are supposed to arrange it on our own, and it is paid. College provides add-on courses, which are also paid by students.
Infrastructure: We have labs and libraries can cover our full syllabus. College hostel rooms are near, but food provided is not that great. They said food is Kerala style, but it is Tamil Nadu style. Some students even moved out because of food.
Faculty: Teachers are very friendly, except for some who are not approachable. Curriculum is composed of compulsory internships and add-on courses, which I think are very helpful in building practical knowledge, which is important for this job.
Other: My parents wanted me to be an engineer, so I chose this course. There is not much campus life here because of strict rules. Boys and girls are not allowed to talk to each other.

Review of Marthandam College of Engineering and Technology, Kuttakuzhi, Kanyakumari .
Placements: 90% of students were placed last year in my college. The lowest package is 1.2 lacs per annum, the average package is 2 lacs per annum, and the highest package is 5 lacs per annum. Tata consultancy services, Wipro, HCL, Mahindra and so on are the top recruiters. There are lots of internship opportunities at my college and lots of students are getting internships near Trivandrum Techno Park. Software engineer is the top role offered in my college .
Infrastructure: My college facilities are awesome and surrounded by nature and the Wi-Fi facilities are good all over the campus. The lab is good with an AC facility, the classrooms have smart classes and my department has a good library and all books related to my course. The quality of the hostel is now good, with good food and rooms; the canteen facilities are good and have foods and snacks; the medical facilities are also good in my college; in our college, students are playing in national-level matches so sports are very good.
Faculty: Our college faculty are well-known; they are Ph.D. graduates and their teaching skills are very good and easily understandable. Yes, our course curriculum is relevant and we have lots of knowledge in industrial-related areas because we are going regularly to industrial visits, and then industrial experts come to teach us at the industrial level. Semester exams are not very easy; they are tough, and the pass percentage at my college is 85%.
Other: I like the IT field, so I chose B.Tech. Information Technology, which is related to features like AIML, data science, and database management systems. My opinion is that to improve the course, it should be updated to the latest technologies because our course has a 5-year-old syllabus. Our college has a cultural event named as Festino and that is awesome. Regional fests like Christmas and Onam are also very awesome in my college and my college has lots of scholarships like SC/ST Scholarships, BC Scholarships, Minority Scholarship and First Graduate Scholarships from the Tamil Nadu Government.

I never recommend students to take admission to this college.
Placements: Around 70% of students get placed in our course. Our seniors got placed at Wipro. The recruiting companies are Infosys and Technopark at Trivandrum. Placements provided are good for students who are in contact with the management.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided in the hostel are limited and the food is not good. There are no proper medical facilities. Sports activities are rarely supported.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful but don't permit half a day's leave. Semester exams are easy if students study well. The pass percentage is 75%.
Other: Our course is hard in the first year but it is understandable in the following years.

Good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: My colleges mechanical department has achieved great success with 90 percentage of student being placed. The top companies from Chennai conducted the placement drive for mechanical students and the highest package is offered is an impressive 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: The offers excellent facilities, with well maintained labs and classrooms contributing to a conducive learning environment. Hostel facilities are commendable, though grooming three students per room is bit crowded. The quality of food however is average only.
Faculty: The teachers are incredible helpful, providing strong support in academics. While semester exams may be challenging, diligent study makes them manageable. The pass per being 45 reflects a fair level of difficult. Overall, with a dedicated effort and supportive teachers, Success is achievable.
