As per of my knowledge, you can't do this.
Lateral admissions are for Diploma holders.
And in 2nd year, if you score good marks, you get a chance to change your branch (if you are willing to do so).

The average package offered after doing B.E. in Mechanical Engineering is, minimum INR 1 lakh. And, if we talk about placements, MBM Engineering College provide 60% placement.

Yes, MBM is a good engineering college located in Rajasthan. Placements are also good there. You should go for that.
