Great faculty, average hostel life.
Placements: There are no on-campus placements here, but they prepare you quite well to apply for off-campus placements. Kiran Bedi is one of our alumni, and she has demonstrated the values that the college provides. Placement should not be the reason for not choosing MCM DAV.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are pretty average. If we talk about Wi-Fi, it doesn't work, and there are severe network issues in the college and hostel area. The food is better than other hostels. There are some hygiene issues in the hostel, but college cleanliness is highly maintained.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They understand our issues, address them, and guide us in the best way possible. Most of them carry real-life working knowledge of the subjects they teach. They are perfect mentors one could ask for.
Other: Campus life is pretty interesting. There are more than required facilities in college, like a salon for girls, 3-4 canteens serving the yummiest food, and events like the youth meirachi festival taking place. College life is fun.

Excellent college for M.A. English.
Placements: As students of M.A. in English, we were not provided with many opportunities for placement. The only placement offers we got were a few for the position of IELTS trainers. Placements could be better. Given that, most students in the course are interested in academia or education and are interested in pursuing higher education.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good. The buildings are nice and well maintained. The college provides Wi-Fi, well-furnished labs and classrooms, an excellent library, sports ground and a lush garden. The food served at the hostel mess is good and hygienic. The hostel has a gym, separate study rooms and libraries.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and never shy away from help. My experience with the faculty has been great, especially with the Department of English and the societies under the same department. The university curriculum for M.A. English is very well framed. The subjects offered are relevant and up-to-date. However, changes are required at the undergrad level for the English Hons syllabus.
Other: My favorite and most challenging part of the course was dissertation writing, but I was lucky to be assigned Dr. Jasmine Anand for the same. It is to her countless endeavors and compassion that I could gain interest in research. Her teaching style, too, stands out for its interactive approach, consistently pushing beyond the textbook to foster deeper comprehension and learning among students instead of solely focusing on scoring well. She is a kind and pathetic person who truly makes learning an enriching experience.
