Hi Kumar,
I can only speak about your chances at 96.09 percentile for MMS at XIMR. You have a good chance in the open category on the basis of last year's cutoff available on the website. However, cut-offs are basis the number of applicants at high percentiles.
Additionally, basis my understanding, XIMR is a niche, focused, primarily academic-driven institution, whereas, MET is a wholistic developer of managerial skills and indulges in a practical implementation of knowledge. Their batch size is larger than XIMR. This aids targeted knowledge to students of XIMR.
XIMR also provides access to many distinguished faculties from XLRI. JBIMS, etc. This helps their main offering of quality education to leaders of tomorrow. Read up on both colleges thoroughly before making a decision.
Hope this helps.

Good to hear that you got selected at IBS, Mumbai. It's a great institute to learn management and various skills required to work in the corporate environment. As far as MET-Bandra is concerned, it has a good corporate presence with companies that visit every year for placements. You need to compare the fees structure and placement records from the placement cell of IBS Mumbai as you got selected for IBM, Mumbai and others accordingly to see what ROI you would be getting after you get placed. You even need to compare the same track records for MET-Bandra by asking relevant sources like your friends or the students already studying there. As I am IBS Mumbai pass out, I would say that placements are good and even the faculty and course wise teaching is good, designed and updated as per industry specifications. Academically also they provide 3 months internship which is very good in itself as no other institution provides such a great practical exposure to corporate like IBS-Mumbai does. They follow a good corporate teaching pattern and make students learn the pressure of corporate culture and accordingly how to adjust with it. Package wise, they have the average package of Rs 6 LPA and the highest package of Rs 11.5 LPA.

Hello Harshal,
Yes, you can apply to them. However, you have fair chances for the PGDM programs of better colleges like:
1. Welingkar.
2. SIES.
3. NL Dalmia.
You need to ensure that GD and PI goes really well.
Good luck.

We have experienced faculty members for finance and the current PGDM batch of 2016-18 has a majority of finance students, so that speaks volumes about the faculty, as the faculty is more or less similar for both MMS and PGDM.

Hello Sourabh,
MET - Mumbai is a decent college to pursue MMS or PGDM. Though considering the ROI, MMS is a better option. The average package offered is around Rs.5 LPA. MET is a good option, if you don't have any better colleges.
Good luck.

The average package that MET provides is Rs 5 lakhs per annum but highest can go upto Rs 10 lakhs per annum. It all depends upon the students and their qualities. Generally 50-60% students gets placed every year.
