Candidates taking the MICAT exam will not get the facility to navigate across sections. Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad, has three sections as mentioned below:A: Psychometric TestB: Descriptive TestC: Aptitude Test (with four sub-sections)Candidates answering questions in MICAT's section C get an option to navigate across its sub-sections. Canddidates are allowed to answer questions from any of the four sub-sections in the Aptitude Test. However, once the candidate has submitted responses of Psychometric Test and Descriptive Test, he/she is not allowed to move back to edit the responses of tyhe submitted section.

The number of answer options in the objective type questions of MICAT is not static. Each year, the number of answer options may change as per the exam structure. However, candidates can expect a range of answer options between two to eight. Candidates will have to choose one right option, or candidates may have to match the correct options. Before attempting the MICAT question paper, candidates must refer to the MICAT sample papers released by MICA with the exam details.

MICAT Psychometric exam has a total of 150 questions. Candidates may or may not answer all the questions. Psychometric Test is a qualifier exam. Candidates who do not answer all questions in the Psychometric Test may not get the section evaluated. Performance in the Psychometric test is not included while merit preparation for final selection. However, candidates who do not pass the Psychometric test are not considered for evaluation in the subsequent section of the MICAT exam. MICA will evaluate the candidate's readiness for the programme based on his/her responses in the Psychometric Test. Therefore, passing the Psychometric Test is crucial to get admission based on MICAT. One must answer all the questions in the test.

Psychometric test of MICAT exam helps in screening candidates for the programmes offered by Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad. MICAT's Psychometric Test helps assess candidate's behavioural and psychological attributes to find whether an individual is right fit for the course or not.Psychometric Test in MICAT involves 150 questions. These questions are objective type questions or onw word answer questions with two or more options. Candidates may find True/False type questions. Along with the exam details, MICA releases MICAT demo, also known as MICAT mock test. Candidates can use the MICAT demo to get aware pf the user experience of the MICAT exam. Each part of the MICAT mock test is clocked on the similar lines to the MICAT exam. Candidates are not allowed to navigate across the three parts of the MICAT mock test. However, functionality to move across four sub sections of the Aptitude Test is provided in the MICAT mock test as well. After end of the sectional time, MICA will automatically submit the responses marked or unmarked by the candidate.Since MICA does not release the questions of the Psychometric Test, MICAT mock test will be clocked to one minute. However, the actual Psychometric test in the MICAT exam will be clocked to 30 minutes. Candidates cannot go back or move ahead from the Psychometric Test until the end of 30 minutes.

MICA does not release a detailed syllabus for MICAT. However, MICA notifies the names of the sections with the release of the exam details. Admissions to MICA PGDM is based on shortlists prepared considering the MICAT scores, national level exam scores, GE and PI scores. Candidates filling the MICAT application form have to enter the scores of national level exam. However, if they are yet to appear for the exams, they can add the exam scores later. MICA provides the facility to add exam scores at later stage of the registration process.

Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad, conducts MICAT exam in two phases every year. Candidates can appear for either of the exam phase or both the exam phases. MICA will assess the performance of all the test takers based on the best of two scores. The syllabus for MICAT I and II is same. Therefore, candidates can prepare for both MICAT I and II using an identical study material.Candidates who plan to appear for both MICAT I and II must apply for both the exam phases separetly. Additionally, MICAT fees is to be paid for both the exam phases.
