Aerospace engineering involves the very basics of Machine Design, Heat and mass transfer, fluid mechanics which are the very basic subjects of mechanical engineering so it would be a good degree to apply the learnings of your previous degree. The score may be enough for SC category, but of course your choice of branch also matters a lot. Try for a branch you like, if you don't get in there are other colleges also as good as MNIT. All the best

Hello there,
First of all congrats on your achievement. You will surely get mechanical engineering from good NITs. Now to answer your question let me put this straight that initial average income of Mechanical engineers is around 6-7 lacs per annum but with time and experience it reaches to around 15-20 lacs per annum which is a fairly good salary.
Thanks for asking. Please do visit again at https://shiksha.com for any other query.

I am extremely sorry to say this but with such low marks you will not be able to get any seat in my college, yet you should not leave hope as many good private colleges like SRM, VIT in which you can easily get admission so DO NOT LOOSE HOPE.

You need to give JEE mains or State Engineering Entrance exams to get any Engineering institute and then you may opt for Mechanical Branch. Your class 12th marks are only sufficient for getting admissions in private colleges only.
