National Institute of Design Ahmedabad Paldi Answered Questions

The National Institute of Design, Design Aptitude Test (NID DAT) results are accepted by NID Bangalore for M.Des programme admission. The Design Aptitude Test (DAT) or National Entrance Test (NET), both administered by NID, must have been taken by candidates. The minimum cumulative score required for admission to NID Bangalore in 2024 is 60% in 10+2 or a comparable programme. The NID DAT 2024 exam is set to take place on December 24, 2023. The provisional offer letters for B.Des admission will be released on June 13, 2024, and the final results for M.Des admission will be announced on April 30, 2024. 

The NID Entrance Exam is considered among the toughest design entrance exam conducted in the country. In NID DAT, more weightage is given to subjective, drawing related questions. Experts and test takers state that the overall difficulty level of the NID DAT 2022 exam was moderately difficult.As per NID DAT 2021 exam analysis, the level of difficulty of the question paper for the BDes course was easy to moderate. There was a small change in the NID exam pattern this year with respect to the marking distribution.In the Objective section, a majority of questions are asked on subjects such as Logical Reasoning, English, General Knowledge, and Current Affairs which have a medium difficulty level.  

The NID DAT 2025 exam will be conducted in an OMR-based (offline mode). There is no negative marking in NID DAT Prelims.So, the candidate may attempt all the questions. If the wrong answer is selected, the candidate won't be penalized. However, if the correct answer option is selected, the candidate may get some free marks.Note that the DAT Prelims exam will be conducted in an OMR-based mode.
