Candidates aspiring to join the National Institute of Design (NID) in Bengaluru typically follow a structured admission process. To be eligible for the M.Des (Master of Design) program, candidates should have completed a B.Des or any other relevant graduate degree. The key step in the admission process is the NID DAT (Design Aptitude Test), which consists of two levels: DAT Prelims and DAT Mains.1. DAT Prelims: Candidates need to qualify in the DAT Prelims, which assesses their design aptitude through a written exam. This stage is a crucial screening process.2. DAT Mains: Those who clear the DAT Prelims proceed to the DAT Mains stage. Here, candidates are further evaluated through a series of studio tests and interviews to assess their design thinking, problem-solving abilities, and creativity.By successfully passing these stages of the NID DAT, candidates can secure admission to the M.Des programme at NID Bengaluru. It's essential for prospective students to stay updated with the admission notification and criteria specified by the institution to ensure a smooth application process.
