In order to pursue Masters in product design, you should have a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline under the 10+2+4 (or more) system from any recognised university or recognised institute in India. You need to appear for The Design Aptitude Test (that) as an entrance exam, which is categorized into Prelims test and Mains test. Prelims primarily evaluate each candidate on the basis of Knowledge, Analysis, Comprehension, Creativity and Visualization. The Mains will consist of tests in different formats such as drawing/sketching, hands-on model making, group discussions, presentations, etc. Unfortunately, the last date of application has passed for 2018 batch.

NID is a design college where design in varied fields is taught whereas UCEED conducts exams to get students for IITs and some design colleges also. IITs have seats reserved for the students coming through UCEED.
