The National Institute of Design entrance test encompasses 3 aptitude tests that carry a minimum of 60 marks. The main intention of this exam is to assess the aptitude, innovation and perception of the applicants. This exam comprises of the following:
Animation, abstract symbolism, composition, knowledge of proportions and perspective, memory drawing, thematic color arrangement & visual design.
Syllabus of the National Institute of Design entrance test is:-
This exam does not have a prescribed syllabus. Students will need to have a very good idea on the topics mentioned below:
Communication skills, composition, creativity, drawing skills, general mental ability, sensitivity to environment & subjects of design
Those students who cleared this written test with good marks shall be notified about the studio test. Following this, a personal interview shall be held.

-Studio test checks not only your creativity but also tests your hands-on skills and spontaneity.

-In the portfolio interview, you will be required to talk about your work over the past few years and answer questions put forth by the panelist.
