According to the available data, it is difficult to determine whether NID Bhopal is as good as National Institute of Design, Assam. However, both institutes are part of the National Institute of Design system established by the Indian government to promote design education in the country. NID Bhopal currently offers Bachelor Degree in Design (B.Des.) in the fields of Industrial Design, Communication Design, and Textile & Apparel Design, and the first batch of students will graduate in 2023. NID Assam, also known as NID Jorhat, offers a 4-year Bachelor of Design (B.Des) course in three specializations, namely communication design, industrial design, and textile and apparel design. Both institutes were established under the National Design Policy aimed at creating a design-enabled innovation economy and strengthening design education in the country.
