In general, Nehru College of Nursing is regarded as a Tier 2 establishment. Top government colleges for medicine and nursing are examples of Tier 1 institutions these are typically recognized nationwide for their research output, facilities and academic excellence. Although Nehru College of Nursing offers excellent instruction and hands-on training, it is not as well-known or ranked in the country as Tier 1 universities. On the other hand, its nursing programs which provide a solid blend of theoretical knowledge and clinical experience, are highly recognized in the area. For students seeking a more specialized, economical and well-rounded nursing education in a reasonable placement rate, this college is a good fit.

Hello, in a way the admission to this college is direct only. Meaning there is no entrance examination to be given for admission. It's basically based on the marks obtained in the 12th standard in the subjects of physics chemistry and biology. Whether the seats are through Government quota or the management quota students have to apply on line. For the management quota all the private colleges in Kerala have come together for a common admission system where students can apply online by giving a choice of 10 colleges. The admission is given to the college as per the merit of the students. Within the management quota about 15% seats are reserved for NRI candidates. If the seats are not filled up under any of these quotas then they can be filled up in the management quota system.

Hello, many nursing graduates prefer to gain some experience, of a couple of years, before opting for post graduation, MSc in nursing. But of course there are a few who continue to MSc immediately after completion of their BSc in nursing. There are many specialisations like O & G, child care, mental health, surgical, community health etc in which a student can pursue studies. With large intake capacity for different specialisations at post graduation level in the field of nursing, the prospective employers have a wide choice and this results in depressing the packages that are offered to these fresh post graduate students. These packages typically vary from about 2 lakhs per annum to 6 lakhs per annum. As the students gain experience, their employability increases along with the packages which they get in their subsequent jobs. The students passing out at the post graduation level of MSc in Nehru College of nursing are no exception to this general phenomenon. They also are placed in a similar range of packages. Best wishes to you.
