DTU is generally considered to have a slightly higher ranking and recognition.DTU and NSUT have good placement records in the CSE domain and other factors are also similar if you have a favourite in this I would say you can go to that college but if you are looking for suggestions then DTU for their higher ranking that to be very slight.

FYI, recruiters for core jobs will place both the colleges within the same bracket while for tech related jobs NSIT is considered equivalent to top 3 NITs.Dont compare the placements as they change every year. You need to speak with alumni of both the colleges to get a sneak peak of the college life and placement scenario. The quality of education is the same in most of the tier 1.5 colleges ( assuming tier 1 is the top 10 colleges ) . Irrespective of whichever college you choose the quality of students and college life would be quite similar and it is you who is going to carry the legacy of the college forward. So take advantage of every window of opportunity that strikes your door.

Basically it depends upon how big is your pocket. Thapar provides you more exposure and higher placement package whereas GNDU also has good placements but with lower package. Both are good. In the end if you are having good score in JEE and you can afford expenses of Thapar university(1 lakh+ for one semester) than blindly go there otherwise GNDU is also good option.
