Quality of any institute depends on the students be it IIT, IIIT, NIT etc. The Brand value they create depends upon factors like top class faculty members present, funds received from government etc. However such factors just ACT as catalyst initially, while the long term success depends only on the students. If I wanted to choose ECE, I would have taken DTU. But, both the colleges are equivalent. You priority should be based on your location (if you are in Delhi). Choose the one which is near your residence. If you are from Delhi, you will not (99% sure ;p) get hostel. You will have to take a PG outside the campus. In NSUT, there is more chance of getting a hostel. If you are not from Delhi, you can easily get a hostel in both the colleges. In academic life, both colleges are equal. However, DTU gets a little ahead on the basis of college life, infrastructure, campus, etc. But take your call based on your location.
