Well, two years' work experience is a great asset. Any work experience would be good. Internships from former companies shows that you have some practical experience and that you appreciate the course.
Skills required would be some grasp on Excel, and some CAD Software, you require good communication skills, they will test that from the entrance exam, and basic concepts from your engineering is important.
Learning BIM/MEP will be very useful but you need not fret if you don't have a certification on that yet. You have ample time to learn on the term here.
Other skills like singing, dancing or other cultural inclinations or technical papers are welcome, as they will be useful when you participate in several events.

The NCAT process generally comprises three rounds:
The written test round: you'd need to brush up on 10th grade RS Aggarwal Math and other CAT-based questions and English aptitude. Take this round very seriously. and make sure you attend more than 60% of all the sections.Don't get hung up on one section because you feel you're good at it. They need to know that you're able to manage time well and attempt all the sections.
The GD round : this depends upon the center and the batch of examiners; they may or may not conduct it. But if they do conduct it, you'll need to be well versed in the current topics and you'd need to stand out of the group by giving good and unique view points and by being able to convince your peers. Always maintain good GD etiquette.A little politeness always goes a long way in making a good impression.
Last round is the interview round which is extremely important since this will have the maximum weightage in determining whether you will get through or not. General rule of interviews apply be confident, and say you dont know, for the answers that you dont know. You'd need to learn up concrete technology, basic construction materials and techniques, and 2 of your favorite subjects. If you have work experience, you need to be well versed on what you've done there.
Prepare well! All the best!

ACM or PM both have a lot of opportunities. Students from NICMAR have been placed in very reputed companies once they complete there degrees. So I would suggest you to join PM.

Ranking and placement packages are dependent upon the market situations and other economic factors.
My recommendation is to join the college for the reputation it has in training and preparing the students. Several well-accomplished alumni have stated that the college curriculum is sufficient to help work your way through.
Therefore, the call is yours ultimately, but in my opinion, the college is doing a good job, irrespective of the ranking it gets per year.

Ease of entry depends upon how well you perform. The answer may be cliche but that is the way to go.It is a matter of perspective.Just be prepared for anything.

You would need to work on 10th grade and 12th grade math, general aptitude and your basics of civil engineering, predominately concrete technology, and any two subjects that you feel you're comfortable in,
