A minimum of 50% in 10+2 or comparable exams with computer science, computer application, or maths as an elective or core subject is needed to be eligible for BCA. The three-year BCA degree is broken into 6 semesters.Out of 360 scores in CUET-UG, candidates must try to score more than 70% i.e., 250+ marks that get admitted to the BCA course at any recognised university that has better academic excellence, experienced faculty, and advance placement prospects.

The fee of Cotton University for BCA is INR 1.33 Lacs whereas the fees of NIELIT Guwahati is INR 1.20 Lacs . Cotton University is accepted admission on the baisis of CUET, AHSEC, CBSE12th, whereas NIELIT Guwahati is accepted admission on the basis of class 12th and in some cases they offer NIELIT entrance exam, candidate can choose any one of them according to their capabilities.

BCA and M.Sc in computer Science both are preferred degree for getting IT jobs, but M.Sc is higher degree course than BCA so placement in M.Sc is more than BCA programme. Although the placement in BCA is also good, it all depend on the students capabilities and their interests. The popular recuiters in the past are ICICI, Infosys, Ranbaxy, sony, Sify, JSW stell, spicejet, times group, India bulls and many more
