6 years ago I have PCB and aspires to give NEST 2019. Is it mandatory to attempt all the sections in NEST exam? Can I exclude mathematics?

No, you can't leave any type of questions, because each part of paper test your ability in following subjects and particular area. So, it is better to study than giving exam.

For apply information to B.Sc. Physics course, your class 12 the marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are considered. It is necessary if you don't have maths, you can not take in B.Sc Physics.

VIT has better placements than NISER or IISER but if you are interested in research than go for IISER.
