Dear Prasenjit Deb,
NIT-Agartala is the best option when compare with Silchar. NIT-Agartala received (last year) 36 LPA, whereas Silchar received 9.5 LPA, you can prepare for NIT-Agartala.

NIT-Agartala is a good option and has been a good brand with very good industry oriented faculty and curriculum. NIT-Silchar is bit new and nascent and hence, does not have an edge.

Hi Ayush,
I would rate NIT above HBTI. However, if possible go through the alumni speak section to get an idea what the alumni thinks about the institute.
