Sorry to say but you still have 0.6% less marks than required. Try if you can send it for reevaluation or if something can be done regarding that. Best of luck.

Electronics from NIT (J). Look, first of all NIT has more reputation than thapar. Though Teaching of thapar is more better than NIT, but Thapar's standard is decreasing day by day. Plus, fees gap between two is so high!
I would suggest, NITJ.
I would suggest, NITJ.

Hi,
Both Food processing and industrial design are different. So it solely depend on you that if you are interested to know the techniques behind food processing as well as gain knowledge for it then just move on for food processing engineering in NIT Rourkela. It is a new branch started in NIT Rourkela and very soon it has gained tremendous popularity in the mean time. It has hold a good placement record instead of a new branch. The placements of NIT Rourkela is good. The average placement of the college is around 6-7 LPA. Mostly, all the student got placed. Last year, the highest package was 29 LPA which is offered by Amazon. Many core and analytical company visit every year. Around 90-100% of the students got placed. In NITJ, placements of Industrial and Production is comparable to mechanical, which is pretty good. Lot of good MNCs come to NITJ for recruitment. Usually number of offers are higher than number of students. And given a choice in between NIT Rourkela and Jalandhar, Rourkela has got better ranking, hence should be preferred. All the best for future. Thank you

NIT Jamshedpur is a good option with EEE. It has good package around INR 10 lakh per annum and is doing well. Moreover, you have better options with CSE in MANIT Bhopal or in MVNIT, Jaipur.

But I can give some suggestions as an alumni of metallurgical engineering from VNIT, Nagpur don't prefer MME instead opt for any circuit stream in the other college as per your preferences. Why I'm suggesting you is that there are no placements for metallurgist students since batch of 2013 to 2014 onwards there is no decent placement and everyone take the admission merely wanted to land with decent package after their graduation and no one rely wanted to learn the engineering subjects such a huge investigated of four years life and except some topper dudes 510% out of 100% of total strength of the distinct branches .
Basically MME comes under manufacturing sector like making gears and launching new machines for implementing the new innovative ideas to develop new technologies with help of producing quality and flawless output and making every customers compensations etc and its giving sounds good right and most of the manufacturing sectors must hire MME students but instead of hiring metallurgy students they are hiring Diploma and mechanical students.

For taking admission in NIT one should have 75% in class 12th. You can try for your state government engineering colleges. Hope this helps. All the best.

Hi
It solely depends on you in which field you want to pursue your career. If you are interested for Food processing and want to discover the technology beyond it, you should opt for Food processing in NIT Rourkela. And if you are interested upon clothing and textile industry and technology behind that, then you should opt for textile technology. Hence you must decide in which field you are interested. Both are very different from each other and has their own importance in their respective fields. Both the fields are emerging more and more and their demand has also increased to the utmost level. NIT Rourkela has utmost importance for engineering and it is increasing more day by day. Some of the core companies visiting the campus for placement are Milk Mantra, IDMC, Tetra Pak, etc. Some of the non-core companies visiting the campus for placement are ZS Associates, TCS, EXL Services, Tredence, Affine Analytics, etc. The average package is 8LPA and the highest goes upto 10 LPA or more. All the best for future. Thank you

No, you cannot get NIT Jamshedpur but you may get a chance for NIT, Calicut with EC branch. You can go for some private state colleges or university that is also providing better education and placements. Best of luck.
