I think you are considering last year's cutoff as this year's counselling for NITs has not started yet. Well last year's cutoffs give you an idea of your selection and if your rank is near the last year's rank then you have the chance of selection. But no one can guarantee or predict the selection. As in my case last year's cutoff was 62k and at my time it 57k and next year was 66k. So it just depends upon the choices of the students. So stay calm, relaxed and positive. Best of luck.

If you are from the general category, you will get nothing from this score because your rank will be around 60000, but if you are a category student then there is a chance of getting civil, electrical or mechanical.

A Ph.D. from anywhere shall have the chances of getting a Job for Sure. It depends to a large scale on the competence of the person as well who claims to be the best expert on the Research subjects covered in Ph.D. NIT, Kurukshetra, an institution of National Repute is surely a place where the Ph.D. will be carrying good prospects of careers and acknowledgment. I am pretty sure that the Ph.D. degree of NIT, Kurukshetra shall surely have Good Job Chances. If you are asking BEFORE doing a Ph.D. you should do that. If you are pursuing, I would suggest that you must possess and develop Skills and Competence that shall be needed in Jobs to justify that you are a Ph.D.

It depends on your category if you are from general I think approximately 150+marks are required and if you are from SC/ST or OBC then I think 100+ is enough.

Sahil, it is difficult to get admission in NIT Kurukshetra for CS with this score. You have to score atleast 200 marks in JEE Mains to get CS in NIT Kurukshetra.

You should go for CSE at NIT-Kurukshetra. There are a lot of opportunities and along with this even if you consider the rankings, NIT-Kurukshetra holds a better rank as compared to NIT-Hamirpur.

If you have interest in coding and can code all your life, then IT/CS is good in both colleges NIT and IIIT. If you like core hardware/electronics (things like BJT, MOSFET, etc.) then go for ECE.

Hello Amisha,
You should go for old NITs because they are good as well as the placement record is good too.
Take a wise decision.
All the best.
