Candidates can take admission to M.Tech at NIT Mizoram through a common counselling named CCMT after qualifying for the GATE exam. In case the seats remain vacant even after the CCMT Counselling is over, non-GATE candidates are then offered admission on the basis of the institute-level admission process. A student seeking admission to the undergraduate BTech programme of NIT Mizoram must have cleared the JEE Main exam and then go through the JoSAA Counselling. Seats that remain vacant after the JoSAA Counselling is finished are filled via Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) Counselling.
