Yes, as a student from Hyderabad, you can certainly apply for admission to NIT Mizoram. National Institute of Technology (NIT) Mizoram is one of the prestigious technical institutions in India. NITs are centrally funded engineering colleges that offer undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various fields of engineering, technology, and sciences. NIT Mizoram follows the admission process set by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). JoSAA conducts the centralized counseling and seat allocation process for admissions to NITs, IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology), and other participating institutes. To be eligible for admission to NIT Mizoram or any other NIT, you need to meet the following criteria:
1. JEE Main: You should appear for the JEE Main entrance examination and qualify for the exam. NITs consider the JEE Main scores for admission.
2. Eligibility Criteria: You should meet the eligibility criteria specified by JoSAA, including the minimum percentage requirement in the qualifying examination (typically 10+2 or equivalent).
3. Counseling and Seat Allocation: You need to participate in the JoSAA counseling process and choose NIT Mizoram as your preferred choice during the seat allocation rounds. It's important to note that the admission process may vary slightly from year to year, so it's advisable to visit the official website of NIT Mizoram or the JoSAA website for the most accurate and updated information regarding admission criteria, eligibility, important dates, and the application process. Additionally, it's recommended to refer to the official notifications and brochures of NIT Mizoram for detailed information about the courses offered, seat availability, reservation policies, and any specific requirements for different categories of students. I encourage you to stay updated with the official announcements and guidelines provided by NIT Mizoram and JoSAA to ensure you have the latest information for your admission process. Best of luck!

Admission to National Institutes of Technology (NITs) in India is based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main score. The cutoff percentile for admission varies each year and is determined by several factors, including the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, and the availability of seats.
While a 90.4 percentile is a good score, it may not guarantee admission to the top-ranked NITs for general category candidates, especially for popular branches such as Computer Science, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering. The cutoff percentile for admission can vary depending on the NIT and the specific branch.
To have a better understanding of your chances of admission, it is recommended to check the previous year's cutoff ranks for the NITs and branches you are interested in. These cutoff ranks are usually available on the official websites of the NITs or through reliable sources. Additionally, you should keep in mind that the cutoffs can change from year to year.
It's important to note that apart from JEE Main scores, some NITs also consider category-wise reservation norms, state-wise quotas, and female-specific quotas. These factors may positively influence your chances of admission as a female candidate in the general category.
To make an informed decision, I suggest researching the cutoff trends of the NITs you are targeting and considering backup options as well. It's always beneficial to explore multiple institutes and their admission criteria to maximize your chances of securing admission.

Your JEE Main rank is not enough for getting NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Please seek admission in other Engineering colleges near you.
