When we compare both the colleges IIIT Guwahati and NIT Puducherry on the basis of CSE branch, then by each of the above factors it becomes clear that IIIT Guwahati is much better as it is designed especially for IT students and its placement ratio is also much higher than NIT Puducherry. IIIT Guwahati has good reputation, the average placement of IIIT Guwahati is 75% whereas the average salary package of IIIT Guwahati is higher compared to NIT Puducherry which provides a placement for around 69%. 8% for its CSE branch In addition, the university’s contribution comprises of 2.7% for its CSE branch. Several sets of data reveal that IIITs may offer stronger interactions and placements into industry jobs that are more inclined toward technological expertise. However, NIT Puducherry is also a good institute and has a good infrastructure and student friendly environment to carry out study, so it may also depend upon individual interest and the particular field of study.

{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}Is BE/BTech at NIT Puducherry a good choice? Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what we've summarized:* Infrastructure: The college is still under development, with some areas lacking proper infrastructure (e.g., sports complex, hostel facilities). However, there are plans for expansion and improvement.* Facilities: Laboratories are generally considered well-equipped, but libraries could be expanded. Internet connectivity is inconsistent, with Wi-Fi speeds varying across the campus.* Teaching and curriculum: Professors are often described as helpful and knowledgeable, with a focus on theoretical foundations. However, some students feel that the curriculum could be more industry-oriented.* Placements: While placements have seen an uptick in recent years, some courses (like CSE) tend to receive better offers. Average salary packages range from INR6-10 Lacs per annum, with some students securing higher figures (up to INR20 lakhs).* Campus life: Student life is relatively quiet, with fewer extracurricular activities compared to other institutions. Cultural events are occasionally held, but may not attract widespread interest.* Hostel and food: Accommodation varies between hostels, with Moyar Hostel receiving praise for its amenities. Food quality and quantity can be inconsistent, leading to concerns about health and nutrition.* Growth prospects: With the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020, the institution is expected to see significant improvements in the coming years. Here's a summary rating:* Pros: Helpful professors, expanding infrastructure, growing placements* Cons: Limited facilities, inconsistent internet connectivity, quieter campus lifeKeep in mind that individual experiences may vary depending on factors like department, hostel allocation, and personal preferences. While NIT Puducherry presents some challenges, it may still be a viable option for those seeking a strong educational foundation and career prospects.
