Yes, JEE Main 2024 dates for admission to NIT Sikkim are out now but the dates are tentative. It is expected that JEE Main 2024 notification will be released in the first week of December. NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2024 exam in two sessions in January and April. The exact date of the exam for both sessions will be announced in the notification. NIT Sikkim offers UG, PG, and Doctoral courses in the field of Science, Commerce, and Humanities, including BTech, MTech, MSc, and PhD. At NIT Sikkim, these courses are offered through nine departments across multiple specialisations. BTech is the flagship course offered by the Institution. National exams like JEE Main and GATE are accepted by the Institution for admission to BTech and M.Tech courses.

The basic eligibility to apply to the PhD course is a PG degree in the relevant stream with a 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA in BTech/ Mtech from any recognised university or 85% in BTech from any NIT/ IIT/ IIIT/ Other CFTIs. For SC/ST/PwD candidates, a relaxation of 5% marks or 0.5 CGPA will be considered. Further, the selection procedure includes appearing for the Institute based entrance exam and personal interview.

NIT Sikkim accepts the GATE score, followed by the GATE CCMT Counselling process for the MTech admission. NIT Sikkim cutoff 2023 for MTech in CSE is not available. However, in 2022, the last round closing rank for NIT Sikkim MTech in CSE course was 385 which decreased from 408 in 2021 showing an improving trend. The cutoff is for General category candidates in the All India quota at the National Institute of Technology Sikkim. MTech cut-off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant. 

The total fee for the MTech programme at NIT Sikkim is INR 1.4 lakh. The total fee is calculated based on annual/ semester fee available for the academic year, hence is indicative. ST/SC & PH students are fully exempted from paying tuition fees, while the most economically backward students (whose family income is less than INR 1 lakh per annum) are granted full remission of the tuition fee. Other economically backward students, whose family income falls between INR 1 lakh to INR 5 lakh per annum, are granted a remission of 2/3rd of the tuition fee.
