My opinion on NMAMIT, Nitte.

Placements: The placement rate in our college is around 96 percent. In our course, the average package is around 5 LPA with the highest package being 53 LPA and the lowest around 1 LPA. Companies like Accenture, Cadence, Bosch, Amazon, TCS, etc., come for recruitment of students in our college. Ninety-eight percent of students from our course got internships in companies like Infosys, TCS, Accenture, etc. Top roles offered in our course include Web Developer, Cybersecurity Specialist, App Developer, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty good. Our college has good classrooms and labs that are well-maintained. All labs are air-conditioned and have new computers with the latest specs. The hostel meals are really good and well-prepared. They are very tasty as well. The food in the canteen is also good with reasonable rates. There is a clinic in the college which provides emergency treatment. Our college has a ground named BC Alva Sports Ground which is very spacious and well-maintained.

Faculty: Teachers were helpful all the time. They were always supportive and helped us on every occasion, both study and non-study related. Teachers had a good way of teaching by using presentations and video analysis. The course curriculum is relevant to present world opportunities. Semester exams were moderately difficult, and the pass percentage was around 80 percent.

Other: I chose this course because I thought it had the potential to prepare me for web development and other coding-related topics. My course lacks a bit of hardware that is provided in other courses. Events and other extracurricular activities are great in this college. Fests like Incridea happen every year with great zeal and enthusiasm.

Very good placements and best faculty members.

Placements: I am currently in my fourth year of B.E, specializing in CSE. Through campus placement, I have secured a job with a package of 11.7LPA. The average package in our college is 7LPA, while the highest package this year was 53LPA and the lowest was 3.4LPA. The top recruiters this year included D. E Shaw, Adobe, HP & HPE, Texas Instruments, Juniper Network, Nutanix, Cohesity, Samsung, Sony, Oracle, Nidec, Accenture, and Finacle, among others. Most of us have completed a mandatory internship, with some securing internships through college in companies like Adobe, HPE, and Nidec. Companies offered a variety of roles such as SDE, SDE in Test, QA, Consultant Program Analyst, Full Stack Engineer, SRE, and Help Desk Engineer. Despite the recession, the college placement team did an excellent job in bringing companies for recruitment. Additionally, several other companies with packages ranging from 5-8LPA have visited our campus for IT positions.

Infrastructure: Every floor has its own Wi-Fi network, while the computer labs are meticulously maintained and equipped with Ethernet LAN connections. The classrooms are spacious, well-ventilated, and cleaned daily. The library boasts an extensive collection of books, including novels, academic textbooks, and other reference materials, all of which are impeccably maintained. Although I am not a resident, I have heard from my friends that the facilities provided at the college are of decent quality. Additionally, the college has access to the B.C. Alva playground, where sports are practiced and inter- and intra-college competitions are held regularly.

Faculty: The college's Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department boasts an exceptional lineup of lecturers, all of whom hold a Masters degree. These highly skilled individuals possess a strong command of English and possess extensive expertise in their respective subjects. Not only do they excel in teaching, but they also provide support beyond academics. The curriculum is both relevant and manageable, setting it apart from other institutions. Moreover, the university constantly updates the curriculum to align it with industry standards, making it even more beneficial for students.

Other: Incridea, the college fest, is renowned for its four-day celebration. Each day is filled with pronites, stalls, and a wide range of events. The college experience here is exceptional, and I believe I have received great value for my investment. I am delighted with my decision to attend this college.

No campus life @ NMAM Institute of Technology!

Placements: Placements are average, around 7 LPA, and not all students get placed, but a decent amount does. The highest package was off-campus, about 46 LPA. Top recruiters are Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, etc. Internships are also available, and they are average as well.

Infrastructure: All labs and facilities are available, and some of them are good too. However, the Wi-Fi service they provide is the worst. It's not just in the hostel, but even on their own so-called college campus. They block entertainment sites on their Wi-Fi, taking away the only source of entertainment.

Faculty: The teachers here are super helpful and nice. They are well qualified, but some of them teach classes in a branch that is completely different from their department. For example, mechanical staff teaching IT skills and all. The exams occur three times in a semester, with two midterms and one end semester exam. They are pretty easy to score in.

Our college has excellent infrastructure and great emphasis on extracurricular activities.

Placements: Specifically from computer science and information science engineering branches, around 90% of the students get placed every year. Some of the top companies which visit NMAMIT for on-campus placements are Amazon, Cardinal Health, VMware, Nutanix, Sony, Cohesity, etc. A lot of Japanese companies like Yokogawa Electric Corporation (which offers a salary package of 19 LPA), Nidec-Read Corporation (which offers a salary package of 18 LPA), etc., visit here for placements. Amazon offers the highest salary package of 30 LPA for the role of junior SDE. Wipro offers one of the lowest salary packages of 3 LPA. The average salary package offered in our college is approximately about 5.5 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure available for computer science and engineering is excellent. There are numerous labs for both research and practical sessions. Every student can access the free college Wi-Fi facility, and the speed is adequate. Classrooms are spacious, well furnished and have a centralised air-conditioning system. But air-conditioners are turned on only during summers. The library has a plethora of books, which cover every domain of the course. There is a small clinic on the campus, which provides free treatment and medicines for students, but only for common illnesses and injuries. There is 1 cricket ground, 1 football ground, 1 hockey ground, 2 basketball courts (1 indoor and 1 outdoor), 2 kabaddi courts, 2 gyms and 2 table tennis courts. There are numerous cafes and canteens in the college, and the food served in them is pretty decent. There are two hostels, i.e., one is for boys, and one is for girls. Rooms are pretty decent, and power backup and Wi-Fi facility are always available. The food served in the hostel is pretty decent. Wardens are supportive and less strict for boys, but they are strict for girls.

Faculty: Teachers here are very friendly, helpful and always approachable for doubts. Except for a few teachers, most of them are really good at teaching. The course curriculum is quite different from the regular VTU course curriculum. A lot of unwanted or outdated concepts are removed, and relevant topics are added.

Other: I chose computer science because I was fascinated by the advancements in computing technology, and I wanted to know more about them. Best things about this course are the up-to-date course curriculum and supportive teachers. But I wish that our course should contain less of unwanted theory. NMAMIT is really different from other colleges because of its emphasis on extracurricular activities and sports. Incridea is a 4-day national level techno-cultural fest organised in our college, and it is one of the biggest fests in South India. The student community is very diverse and vibrant. Activities are always organised in our college every day. Our college also has excellent sportsmen, and it is regularly ranked among the top 3 positions in VTU sports competitions.

A fantastic college with good facilities.

Placements: Actually, to be honest, the college is very good. The teachers are brilliant; they make you understand everything perfectly. Many staff members, including the cleaning staff, are very supportive. The placement in this college is also very good; it's one of the top-rated colleges.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is fantastic. There are Wi-Fi labs, classrooms, and a library, all equipped with air conditioning for good ventilation. I don't stay in the hostel, but as far as my friends have told me, the hostel is also very good, with no such issues with the hostel staff.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is just fantastic; they use projectors and other facilities to teach, which helps us understand more efficiently. I can easily recommend this college to other people. The semester exams in this college are going very well.

Other: I have a dream to become a software engineer.
