Review of Odisha University of Technology and Research.
Placements: It is the only government college known for its excellent placement. The highest salary package offered is 44 LPA. The average salary package offered is 5.6 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 2.03 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Amazon, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, etc. About 70%-85% of students are placed every year. Top roles mainly involve development.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is not very good. Campus is fully covered by Wi-Fi. They have a central library and central computer labs. Hostels are available only for 2nd to 4th-year students, and for first-year students, there are only 100 vacant seats.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and highly qualified. Teaching enhances your skills. It makes students industry-ready according to their skills and knowledge. Semester exams are quite tough as they compete with IIT and NIT standards. This college provides better knowledge and experience than other colleges in the area. This college has its reputation.

Review of Odisha University of Technology and Research.
Placements: The placement is quite praiseworthy at this university. Since it is located in the capital region of Bhubaneswar, companies have easy access to it. An average salary package is offered 4 LPA - 5 LPA. The placement cell puts in significant effort and has a wide reach.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure and hostel facilities are very good. E-drive bikes, which are paid, are available. The Wi-Fi speed is quite good, and library has a large number of books. Medical and sports facilities are well provided. Faculty members are highly qualified from various organisations and offer extensive support.
Faculty: The curriculum is based on the GATE and ESE syllabus, with complete industrial-level experience. This enables students to have access to a wide variety of real-world engineering domains. Thus, the university syllabus helps prepare students for the real world.
Other: University organises various fests and programs throughout the year. Technical and cultural clubs arrange these events, and the social life here is very enjoyable.

Average faculty in our college.
Placements: The placements are really average. The companies that mostly hire from our college are TCS, Accenture, Wipro, and Infosys, and some top students get hired by Microsoft, Google, or Amazon-like companies. The percentage placed is around 80% and the average package is around 8–9 LPA for them, and for CSE students in core branches, it is as low as 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our course is average; there are Wi-Fi facilities, but you can access only study-related things in it—no games, no recreational things—which is a bad thing according to me. The classes of IT and CSE are not equipped with AC but slowly they are making the classes AC. For example, in 2024, civil classes will be equipped with AC.
Faculty: The faculty members of our college are really average in teaching as they adopt a very old way of teaching and also the technology they teach is not up to date so you need to be updating yourself from outside sources. The exams are held every 6 months and they have a strict attendance policy of 75% to attend the exams.

Absolutely Satisfied with the Lab and the Demonstration Work in Practical.
Placements: Placement percentage is about 75%, and the average package is 10 LPA. Good for meritorious and extraordinary students. Also, off-campus processes should be organized once in 2 years through the college faculty members. As we know, it is the University which is graded 'A' by NAAC and also has good results.
Infrastructure: Hostel accommodation is far better than other government colleges, and the total number of hostels is 6, with 4 hostels for boys and 2 for girls. Canteen food is cheap and good enough. For students, the SAC area and playground are also very neat and clean.
Faculty: All teachers are qualified and knowledgeable and best in teaching experience. Our course is newly introduced with a perfect person for every field and gives a good response to the whole industry. Semester exams are slightly difficult, but for bright students, it's very easy.
Other: Because my neighbor also passed out from the same course and is established in Dubai, I was inspired by him and chose the field.

Placements are decent, but the other aspects are not.
Placements: In our batch, 97% of students are placed with an average package of 7 to 8 Lacs per annum. The highest package of our branch recorded this year was 17.93 Lacs per annum by Cisco. Our top recruiters are Amazon, Cognizant, Deloitte, and Accenture. 70 to 80 percent of our students usually get internships.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided by our course are good enough. There is decent Wi-Fi connection around the classroom and hostel. The library is good; there is a sufficient amount of books in it. Students can borrow books using their library card. Hostel infrastructure is not so good. Three students share one room in our hostel, which is one of the boys' hostels. The food provided in the hostel is average. The doctor comes to the campus every three days in the week. The canteen is quite decent. There is one badminton court, a football playground, and a basketball court on our campus.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified and have average teaching quality. Some of the teachers are good and have good knowledge, not all (in our branch). The course is relevant, but students need to gain other important skills from other sources. It helps the students to make them industry-ready. The semester exams are of moderate level; the questions are a mixture of hard, easy, and medium-level questions. The pass percentage is good.

CET : the college review .
Placements: Okay, so in my course, the placement rate is 80–90 percent but the package may vary. The highest package will go around 20–25 LPA, but on average, 10 LPA is the package. An internship is also each on its own; if you have your connections and referrals, then you will get internship .
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite average, but the library is well maintained, Sports facilities are also quite average. You can play all on your own. Don't keep your expectations very high. Labs require quite maintenance and proper guidance. First-year hostels require proper renovation.
Faculty: Exams are also very average, not very difficult or easy. But the relevancy of the course can be quite questionable; recently, I can't comment on that. You will get a variety of teachers; some will be good and some will be bad. So that should not be the tension.
Other: Honesty, I chose this course because I did not have any other choice but the scope of this branch is very good and the location is also not very bad so I think I will not regret it .

Admission FAQs

Q:   Can I get CET BBSR, B.Tech with 88% in JEE Main?

If your JEE Main percentile score is around 88%, your rank would be between 1,20,000 and 1,80,000. As per the admission criteria of the institute, only candidates who meet the CET BBSR cut-off are eligible for admission to undergraduate courses.
