Tamil Nadu native candidate who have passed any of the VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. or their equivalent exam from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu can also apply. They should produce Original Nativity Certificate.
Children of Central Government Employees, irrespective of their nativity, provided their parents or guardians (only if both parents are not alive) have been serving in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years can be eligible to apply.
Sons & daughters of All India service Tamil Nadu cadre officers are eligible to apply. A Self declaration from the parent in this regard is to be produced.

Number 1 worst college in Chennai.
Placements:
In my department, around 20 percent of the students in my seniors were placed on campus, and the remaining students are getting placed through off-campus opportunities. The highest package was 7 LPA, the lowest is 2 LPA, and the average is 3 LPA. Companies like Hexaware, Accenture, Avasoft, Deltax, and some other startups came. No one in the current or senior batch got an internship through campus as we lack proper exposure and guidance.
Infrastructure: We don't have any facilities or infrastructure. Everything in the college is broken, and some of it is in a semi-functional state. There are no labs, no Wi-Fi, and the library restricts students from studying and entering it; it's only for show. We have a hostel, and a separate cost is charged for it with zero amenities. Water doesn't come half the time, there are frequent power cuts, and the main issue is no Wi-Fi.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified but don't even know the basics of 12th standard. They are just lab assistants who prepare notes from ChatGPT and ask us to study from them. Nothing is taught in the classrooms; we are only asked to lie down or copy down the notes. The course is updated, but there is no one here to teach it. Semester exams happen every 3 months, but only 60% of the students pass them.
Other: There is nothing good to say about this college. I would rather say it's just a jail. We have no extracurricular activities, no industry events to update our skills, and no competitions. Scholarships are just given to a few students who come through government quota.

I am absolutely dissatisfied with the staff.
Placements: No students were placed in my senior batch of around 5 students. Off-campus companies were TCS, Accenture, and some startups, and the highest package was 5 LPAs and the lowest was 2; the roles offered were web development, data analysis, and full-track development. Students didn't get an internship from any company.
Infrastructure: There are no facilities such as Wi-Fi, no proper software or hardware devices, a classroom full of dirt and broken benches, and only a library in which books date from 1990. Labs have Windows XP OS. We have a mess that is very hygienic, there are no medical facilities in case of emergencies, and there is no ground for sports.
Faculty: The teachers don't have basic knowledge about the subject, and teachers bunk the classes by sitting in the staff rooms in the AC. They are just lab assistants who don't even know what programming is. The course is outdated, and students have to develop their own skills. Semester exams are difficult, and only 50% of students pass.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest, but it was the worst thing I did. Even though a course has value in the market, studying it at this college makes it worthless. There are no events in my college, no extra activities, no scholarships, and no exposure.

Highly disappointed and depressed by Joining this college and placements fear me a lot.
Placements: In my course, around 60–70% of students were placed; the highest package offered was 8 LPA and the lowest was 2 LPA. Companies like Hexaware, Cognizant, TCS and many startups visited our college. The roles offered were junior data analyst, business analyst, Python developer, and SDM.
Infrastructure: The facilities in my college are top-notch; we have well-equipped labs, modern classrooms with 3d projectors, etc. Only one mess is available in our college, which serves delicious and nutritious food and serves non-vegetarian food three times a week; we don't have a canteen.
Faculty: The teachers were very helpful and guided us well regarding our extra skills and life in industry but when it came to academic teaching, proper explanations of topics were not given; only notes were given without fail and asked the students to just memorize them, which happens in most of the English colleges. Our course was designed by Anna University as we are non-autonomous and exams and corrections were done by Anna University, so there are no possible chances of a high CGPA, which happens in autonomous colleges where own college staff correct their own students papers and give better grades than deserving grades.
Other: I am really passionate about AI, which made me join even this tier 3 college. Here I would say there would be extracurricular activities beyond academics; the only focus is studies and getting a good CGPA, which don't really matter during placements. Having no arrears is the only criteria for attending the placements. There would be no events or social interactions in my college, Panimlar Institute of Technology, but in Panim Eng College, which is on the same campus, there would be higher placement, better skills and competitions and more campus Connect exposure. So please join Panimalar Engineering College if you really want to join this academic life.

100th tier college in India .
Placements: Actually, no students are placed in my senior batch; some of them got placed off campus but that top got only a package of 4-5 LPA but that's better than nothing; we don't even have a placement cell. The recruiting companies that are involved are TCS, HCL, and some startups. No students were offered internships, and we were not taken to visit either. The roles offered were web developer, front-end developer and data analyst.
Infrastructure: There aren't any faculty members available at all; there is no proper infrastructure, no Wi-Fi, and no labs. In classrooms with few benches, we are forced to adjust to a single bench, which is also broken. The quality of food in the mess is worse than the food served at station bus stands. No medical facilities are provided. Only some of them can participate in sports and play cricket for college; other than that, there is no other importance .
Faculty: Teachers are very rude and do not respect the students feelings and treat them like slaves; they are not at all knowledgeable and just order us to copy down notes. If a student raises his voice for his rights, he will be crushed to pressure under the principal and threatened with internal marks and suspension. Semester exams are tough and around 40–50% pass them.
Other: There are no good things in this college no fests, no events related to studies, and no exposure to industry or extra curricular activities Though the campus is huge, we are not allowed to walk around it. No scholarships, nothing.

Panimalar Chennai is the worst college.
Placements: Honestly, there are no students placed on campus this year; only around 10 students from each depth have been placed off campus, the highest was 5 LPA and the lowest was 2 LPA. The companies that had recruited them were TCS, Accenture, Capgemini and some startups like Qspider. No one has had an internship till now. The roles were front-end development, database management, etc.
Infrastructure: There are absolutely no facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, or a library; only a small classroom with all the broken benches and equipment. The hostel is just a dungeon, and we have a mess that serves the unhealthiest food in the world. A lizard was found in a curry last week but no action was taken. We don't have a canteen, medical facilities or sports facilities.
Faculty: The teachers lack the basic skills needed and have no grip over the subject; they come mechanical and just write something on the board and ask us to write it down. No teaching happens; otherwise, they just put on a slide show and make us sleep. The course is new and up to the mark but no one has that level of knowledge to teach it. Semester exams are tough and only 50% of FET is placed .
Other: Let me tell you the worst things first: you are not allowed to carry a mobile; you are not allowed to wear casual shoes; you must not talk to girls or see them; and we have separate classes for girls and boys. You are not allowed to roam around the classes or campus. You must save daily and not wear smart watches, etc.
