{Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}Based on the reviews and feedback from current students and alumni, here's what we've learned:* Placement Record: Unfortunately, the placement record for the B.Sc. programme at Pillai College of Arts, Commerce and Science is poor. None of the students reported getting placements in the biotechnology industry, and most got placed in customer service or sales jobs. While some companies did visit the campus, the pay packages were relatively low (average range: INR2-3 LPA).* Teaching Quality: On the positive side, many students praised their teachers, describing them as helpful, knowledgeable, and experienced. The teachers' ability to explain concepts clearly and their willingness to assist with doubts were highlighted as strengths.* Infrastructure and Facilities: The college has decent infrastructure, with good classrooms, a well-stocked library, and recreational facilities. However, some students felt that the Wi-Fi connectivity was poor, and there were issues with the hostel accommodation.* Course Curriculum: The course curriculum received mixed reviews. While some students found it relevant to the industry, others felt that it was outdated and didn't provide enough practical training.* Festivals and Campus Life: The college hosts various festivals and events, including Alegria, which is considered one of the best fests in Mumbai. Students appreciated the vibrant campus life and social activities.* Value for Money: Given the poor placement record and limited industry connections, it's unclear whether investing in a B.Sc. programme at Pillai College of Arts, Commerce and Science is worthwhile. While the college has some strong points, it may not be the best choice for students seeking employment opportunities in the biotechnology sector. In conclusion, while Pillai College of Arts, Commerce and Science has some strengths, particularly in terms of teaching quality and campus life, its placement record and limited industry connections raise concerns about the value proposition for prospective students.
