PGIMER BSc Nursing counselling will start from August 19, 2024 after the announcement of the result. All the intimation related to the counselling process is shared at the official website, pgimer.edu.in. Candidates who successfully score the minimum qualifying marks will be shortlisted for the counselling round. All processes such as document verification and fee payment will be done at the institute itself by the counselling conducting committee.

A self-attested copy of candidate’s photograph, signature, passing certificates of the qualifying exam, mark sheet of the qualifying exam, proof of age certificate, category certificate (if any) will be required to fill the PGIMER BSc Nursing application form successfully. As per the guideline issued, incomplete applications will not be considered, and no correspondence will be entertained in this matter. All particulars in the application form must be entered carefully. All claims made in the application must be supported with documentary proof.

The counselling for PGIMER BSc Nursing and BSc Nursing (Post-Basic) programme is being conducted by the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. Candidates are required to be present for the counselling process and formalities at the pre-mentioned time and location. There will tentatively be four rounds of counselling. The round-1 counselling concluded in September 2024 first week. It is mandatory to present a set of self-attested documents along with the originals for the verification on the day of PGIMER nursing 2024 counselling.

As per the guidelines issued by the exam conducting body, a candidate must not be more than 25 years of age and should not be less than 17 years on 1st September, 2024. This means that candidates born after 01.09.2006 and before 01.09.1998 are not eligible to apply for the course. For the B.Sc. Nursing course (4 years), only FEMALE candidates are eligible to apply within this age bracket.

The application fee for the PGIMER BSc Nursing exam is INR 1500 for the general and OBC category candidates and INR 1200 for the SC/ST candidates. PwD candidates are exempted from paying any application fee for the exam. PGIMER Chandigarh will not refund the application in any case and is non-refundable. The PGIMER application fee can be paid online using a credit/debit card and Internet banking.

General category candidates have 22 seats, SC category candidates have 07 seats, ST category candidates have 04 seats, OBC category candidates have 14 seats, and PwBD category candidates have 03 seats in all. Candidates having Color blindness are eligible provided that their color blindness can be corrected with contact lens and spectacles worn by such candidates. So, the number of seats mentioned for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) will be adjusted against the category to which he / she belongs.
