PGIMER admission process is based on entrance score. To apply for admission, applicants must complete Class 12 with relevant aggregate scores for admission to UG courses. Applicants must also hold a valid score in the INICET examination for MD/ MS/ MCh/ DM. INICET is conducted by AIIMS, New Delhi. Admission to MS/MD courses is conducted twice a year and the new session starts in January and July every year. For few courses, PGIMER accepts the admission based on PGIMER entrance test followed by counselling. the application process is completely online.

PGI Chandigarh admits students based on merit in Class 12 as well their respective scores in PGIMER entrance exam. The admission process for PGI BSc courses can be divided into the following seven steps:Step 1: In the first step, candidate must submit their applications via college’s official website. PGI Chandigarh only accepts online application. The application portal for BSc courses generally opens around the month of May.Step 2: PGI Chandigarh conducts its own entrance emanation for admissions to BSc courses. The applicants who meet the eligibility criteria are then required to take the CBT entrance examination.Step 3: After the examination, the college releases the result. The result stage includes release of individual scorecard as well as rank list produced on basis of candidates’ performance in the entrance exam.Step 4: After the release of rank list, the college begins with its counselling process. Candidates are required to report to the institute for personal counselling process. Generally, PGI Chandigarh holds 4 rounds of counselling for BSc courses.Step 5: Next, documents of all the candidates, who get a seat through counselling, are verified.Step 6: Selected candidates then are required to pay the admission fees in the prescribed time. Failure to do so may lead to cancellation of allocated seat.Step 7: Once the candidates have paid the fees, it is mandatory for them to report to the college according to the prescribed timeline.
