PSG College of Technology has a very good reputation among other engineering colleges and have 15th ranking by India today. PSG have 29th NIRF ranking of MHRD. The last year placement statistics are very impressive, More than 90% of students who opted, get placed. The average salary package is about INR 5 LPA, While the highest is about INR 16 LPA.

Nearly 51 out of 65 students from latest batch got placed, and the rest opt for higher studies. The highest salary package offered was INR. 30 LPA, and it is offered to a student of CSE department. The lowest salary package for the students of Mechanical, automobile, production departments was INR. 4 LPA, and the highest salary package offered is INR. 8.5 LPA. The student union in our college helps the students to get a lot of roles, and the body of students plays a major role in the college administration. Nearly 80% of the students get internships very easily. The average stipend offered is Rs. 8,000 per month. The highest stipend offered is Rs. 20,000 per month. The college has a placement cell, and it is very useful and efficient.

Sandwich course in PSG Tech is similar to a normal B.E but for 5 years. (It is not an integrated M.E course, which is what people usually confuse with). In Addition to normal B.E certificate Sandwich students will get an industrial training certificate for 2000hours. 5years is divided into 10semesters 5/4 subjects per sem. (For regulars it is 6subjects per sem). Industrial Training classes will there for each sem. (Usually 2hours in morning) Students will get exposed to PSG industries Rotary Machinery Division (pump production) and Heavy Engineering Division (Lathe Machine manufacturing). And a Foundry owned by PSG. Students will be assigned to do a mini project in their 3rd years industrial training hours. The main thing about sandwich course is students will be sent for a two months internship to various industries in India and also to some of the foreign universities at the end of the 3rd year. This opportunity is only for sandwich students. Choosing sandwich is a gud choice but you have to be ready to spent one extra year for course completion. And also the timings of regular classes is only in afternoon. Placements are also good. Good Luck.
