A minimum aggregate of 45% in the qualifying exams is required. Scores from the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) are also accepted for postgraduate programs. At breakfast time, options consist of idli, dosa, upma, and pongal, but lunch and dinner comprise common South Indian fare. Along with tea and snacks served at designated time. The food is generally okayish though some reviews indicate that it may not always meet everyones' expectations for variety of reasons The mess operates on a fixed schedule and students must follow to specific timings for meals.
