Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

I am highly satisfied with our course and college.
Placements: Due to the recession in our time in 2017, only 50% of the students got placed. Overall, placements before 2017 were almost 80%. Many good companies like Tetra Pak, Repro India Limited, Parksons Packaging, Hutamaki Limited, etc., regularly visited our college campus every year.
Infrastructure: Our college provided all facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, a library, etc. All are very good. Library for studying is very big, and it also has a study environment. They need to increase classroom facilities. Our college mess food quality is good, and medical facilities are also available here.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and supportive. They give a lot of exposure to students to improve their knowledge and to compete in the corporate world. Faculty members give many good and industry-oriented projects for students. External faculty members are also strict and good.

The infrastructure is very good, but faculty and student section department staff are not helpful.
Placements: The college has a very big issue of placements because only a few companies visit the college, so most of the students are not placed. They apply for jobs, visit the company on their own or with the help of their friends' suggestions to get placement. So, this is the main problem in this branch.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available on the campus, but its speed is very low or non. Labs are very good and have all the equipment. Our classrooms have projectors for lectures. The library has books related to all subjects, and separate study rooms are also available in the library. Medical facilities are not available in college. Sports and games are conducted 1 time a year.
Faculty: Teaching staff in our college are good, but the staff in our branch are not helpful. They regret each other that the students not gaining good knowledge of subjects. Hence, this is a big issue with this college for students of the printing branch.
Other: Events are organised continuously in this college, like Shivjayanti, Holi and Sankranti celebrations. The crowd is good. Days like rose day, tie day, saree day and traditional day are conducted. Scholarships are provided to students, but the process of applying for scholarships is lengthy and time taking. Sports and extracurricular activities are conducted in the college, like industrial visits, NSS camping etc.

This course offers unique learning with steady placements, less competition with recession impact.
Placements: In my course of printing engineering, there are 60+ seats and 98% of seats get occupied every year. Talking about the package, the average package is near 3.89 - 3.78 LPA, the lowest can be 2 LPA, and the highest package last year (batch of 2022-2023) was 7 LPA. Before that, 9.95 LPA was the max. Top recruiting companies in our course and college are Tetrapack, Times of India, Parkson Packaging, Hi-Tech Inks, etc. Every student can get an internship in our course as there is only one college for this course in Pune, but the internship will be unpaid in most cases. You can work as a manager or supervisor in printing and packaging-related companies at top MNCs. Also, sometimes you can become a press operator.
Infrastructure: Talking about our college campus, we have decent infrastructure with Wi-Fi provided in every computer lab. Even the classes have Wi-Fi, but as a new student, I have applied for it, and the college management is very slow in such works, so still, my Wi-Fi application is on the pending list. Talking about classrooms, our rooms are much better than other courses, as our department classes are near the principal's cabins, so the printing department is blessed with good labs and classes with ceiling lights, digital monitors, and clean benches. The mess quality is average. Sometimes they make good food at some fest or event, but it's not good. But you can say, at least it is hygienic and clean. We have a table tennis court and basketball court in addition to a small open ground for other sports.
Faculty: Teachers in our department are helpful, but I found that office staff and library staff are more frustrated and do not coordinate with students properly, especially. The course curriculum is 80% relevant, but I found that subjects like M3 are implemented forcefully just to make the course difficult. Most of the students have backlogs in M3 only. We have a pass percentage of 80% from 1st year to last. Exams are not that difficult for our core branch subjects, but extra subjects like Digital Electronics, Theory of Machines, and M3 may be difficult to pass.
Other: I found this course unique and in high demand, and the best thing is it’s never-ending, as the demand for packaging and printing is increasing due to packaged food, e-commerce shopping. We need specific packaging for it, so packaging needs an artist with scientific knowledge of it, which is taught to us in the course. I think that the course can be completely shifted towards packaging with a limited part of printing. We have a huge event for printing students called Sprint Era, and we also have a common BE event where all branch students come together, named SAMSAR. We have already done a national-level packaging event last year with printing students worldwide.

This college is neither too good nor too bad.
Placements: In this year placement is improving. Now many companies are coming for the placements. Record of students who are getting placed is improving this year. Many companies are approaching our college for placements. Efforts should be done for providing internships to TE students so that they will get practical knowledge.
Infrastructure: PVG's infrastructure is not soo good because PVG's Muktangan English school is also there. The school reserves the ground and most of the space. At the time of admissions, there is a shortage of classrooms due to which many lectures are missed out.
Faculty: As the printing engineering branch is quite the latest one, the availability of books for students to refer is not so good. And there is no inclusion of the latest technologies in the syllabus which the industries are using. Some teachers are very helpful whereas some are not that good.
Other: The quality of guest lectures conducted should be improved. Many good speakers are there whose lectures are very motivated. They should be invited to college. No doubt this year college is taking efforts for TE students to make them ready for the interview procedures.

Absolutely satisfied because of good faculty and placement.
Placements: It is the best college regarding the placement. It has a special branch named printing engineering, where the placement condition is 100%. The companies come until every single student is placed. For other branches too, the placement is good. Electrical department is also the best of the college.
Infrastructure: The college doesn't have a huge campus, due to insufficient space. The college is situated in the main city, so it has the problem regarding space. But, it has all the facilities that a college need. Library and auditorium hall are the best part of the college. It has Wi-Fi facilities. Virtual labs are also provided, other labs are also up to the mark.
Faculty: The faculty members are very helpful and friendly. All the professors are highly qualified and have the best knowledge regarding their subject. Various proposals are also used by the professors to make the learning easier. Teaching is done in all the three languages, that is Hindi, English, and Marathi.
Other: The campus crowd is good as compared to other colleges. But the events don't happen as expected. You will definitely miss the events that happen in other colleges. But leaving apart the fun, the college is very good for a student.
